Kia Pop concept – Click above for high-res image gallery

Though details are sparse, we know that Kia's wedge-shaped, battery-powered, three-seat Pop concept, will roll onto the stage in Paris any day now. According to Kia, the sub-10 foot long Pop brings, "innovative design chic and dramatic styling to the city car segment." We agree, but you could also say that the Pop adds some fizz to the vehicles that ordinarily fall into the city car class, no?

Kia promises that, "further information will be released in due course" but the automaker has provided us with a group of new images of its striking Pop concept. So, hit up the high-res gallery and check this door-stop concept out. What's your response? Positive? Negative? We're split on this one. Just give it a look and then drop us a comment below. We're sure to have more on the Pop concept, including some live shots from Paris, so check back soon.

      Build it. Looks awesome.

Not sure you'd want the words bubbly and pop associated with an electric car but OK>

I think that this concept is great, but I'll echo others in that this car stands zero chance of coming into production resembling anything like its current self. Those doors wouldn't work in the city. Neither would that tailgate. What about opening windows for some fresh air? Doesn't seem to be possible here.

By the time it becomes a reality, it won't look anything like the concept. Which is a good thing. And it certainly won't have scissor doors or a glass roof, funky wheels, funky headlights, and a funky purple interior. In fact, I suspect it will look surprisingly like a Kia Rio.

      Extraordinarily ugly.

I'll tell you one thing I like about it a lot - coming from kia/hyundai as a concept it might actually get built and put on the road in relatively short order instead of just talking about it for 10 years like it seems other companies do.

This thing looks like a polarized smart car with Nissan Cube windows! With new car designs like the Juke, MKT, Cube, and even upcoming cars like the Veloster, whats going on with these car designs? Seem like the designers all try to go for catchy trendy models that translates into something funky! It use to be you wanted all production cars to look like the concept show cars, but now-a-day you want the production cars to look anything but like there show cars.
