Yep. That's a bus in mid-air – Click above to watch video after the jump

For all of the wonders that the internet has unleashed, it has also desensitized an entire generation. Once upon a time, we'd have been shocked to watch someone shove a nine iron into a blender, but thanks to the proliferation of online videos, gratuitous and rampant destruction barely elicits a yawn nowadays. Perhaps that's why we're so taken with this video.

We don't know why somebody decided to see what happens when a full-sized charter bus hits a motocross jump at speed. We're just happy that they did (and that they brought a camera along). Hats off to the crew that orchestrated this mayhem, which you can watch for yourselves after the jump.

It's a reenactment of the early NHTSA crash test facility when they used live crash test dummies.

      Overwhelmingly underwhelming.

somehow i have this feeling that would this be on TopGear everyone would be like "wow, cool!!!!"
And the bus would be jumping over caravans, naturally.

and a dead cow on the roof?
To be fair they'd do it with a lot more flair, better videography, some witty, dry banter and there'd be 3 buses, not one.

After racing or jumping, Top Gear would then set it on fire.

The I think they could fit the dead cow in the bus

I think I've seen this before. Where is Keanu Reaves in this video though?
Having the bus take the turn with spectators on the outer curve at the beginning made me nervous even though I knew nothing was going to happen... even the people flinching and backing up as it approached. And of course you didn't see Keanu Reeves in the video, he was bracing for the impact with Sandra Bullock :D

        @ emperorkoku

I think the film should have been called "The Bus That Didn't Believe In Physics."

"I've got nothing." Never has a redneck spoken truer words.

Mythbusters already did it, with a bigger "jump" and more destruction.

This is exactly what the Internet is for.
