ARK Performance Hyundai Genesis Coupe – Click above for high-res image gallery

With the Genesis Coupe 3.8 finally getting its own R-Spec model, it was just a matter of time before Hyundai started partnering with tuners to boost the performance of its V6-powered aftermarket-friendly coupe.

ARK Performance, one of Korea's leading tuners, will be upgrading nearly every component of its Track Time Attack Genesis Coupe for this year's SEMA show, boosting the output of the 3.8-liter V6 from 306 horsepower to 450+ ponies through the help of new internals, an APG supercharger and a host of breathing mods.

Brembo brakes with Endless pads and DBA drilled and slotted rotors hide behind lightweight Volk TE37 SLs, with ARK's full suspension system (coilovers, sway bars and front strut bar) working together with a range of Cusco parts.

In addition to the custom front and rear bumpers, hood, side skirts, rear diffuser and fenders, ARK will be equipping the inside with Bride seats, a six-point cage and Sparco steering wheel, along with the defacto sound system and Apple iPad integration.

Finally a good looking, not riced-out aftermarket front fascia.

Very nice, although I would go without the wide-body.

Then I would go with a body-color painted luxgen grille, M&S rear bumper replacement, Tomato rear spoiler, some clean sideskirts that aren't ostentatious. Black headlights with LED indicator elements, LED Superlux tail lights. (I didn't come up with the brand names... but they are what they are.)

I think the front fascia from this car would look good amongst those other pieces, all painted Mirabeau Blue, with a blacked out roof, and reasonable window tint.

Oh, and Road Race Motorsports RR-0207 Wheels. Maybe even staggered diameters, 18 in front, 19 on the back axle. And a good intake and exhaust system for the 3.8 engine, a short shift lever, and some warm white LED interior lighting.

Normally, I hate graphics on cars, but the Genesis coupe needs a slight pinstripe or something... Something to reach from the top edge of the concave front fender, just aft of the front wheel, where a fender vent might otherwise be, along that raised character line, below the main window-sill, and right along the lower rear quarter window upsweep. That might tie that sagging window line into the rest of the body, so that it doesn't look so out of place.

But that is just me. If I had the money for a brand new car plus a bit of modification... this plan isn't my only one, but it would be a serious consideration.

mannn I love that front bumper with led strip!!!

I can't wait for the next gen genesis thats when I'll be in the market! Hyundai is scary good.
I don't like most Hyundai's but this car is a work of art! If I had the money this R spec model would actually find a place in my garage. DAM good job guys!!! I'm going to look into hiring a couple of you guys to do some motivational speaking seminars at Mitsubishi. Hey if you guys can go from making ultra crappy Tiberons to making cars like this! Maybe you can convince Mitsu to get their arse in gear.
now that's the front bumper this car should have come with from the factory!
Yea I definitely would like to have that front bumper on mine, but not the rest of the kit, especially the "bolted-on" rear wheel arches.
It's that time of the year again when I completely ignore autoblog for two weeks so I don't have to look at the mountain of hideous SEMA garbage. BTW, strippers told me once that the SEMA crowd are the worst tippers of any of the big trade show attendees. Hear that?
are those *rivets* on the rear widebody arch? Dammit son this is a SEMA show car, not some local saturday night import cruise-in - make it outta metal and weld it up, do some real bodywork.
Exactly. If you're going to do a widebody, do it right.
You sir, have the lowest rating I've ever seen on AB lol
      • 4 Years Ago
sorry, it lagged for like 10 min.....dont be mad!

People are going to get mad about your comment on the car, not your spam...

I bet he doesn't even drive a car or have a license.

      very immature kid.
      probably 1/2 and 1/2

Engine tuners tip poorly because there is no 'performance'

Body builders tip well since they are only concerned with the 'show'

Hmm, and I wonder why your rank is so low.
