1970 Oldsmobile Toronado RV – Click above for high-res image gallery

We certainly don't recommend yanking a perfectly good 1970 Oldsmobile Toronado off the road in order to convert it into a recreational vehicle, but in the case of today's eBay Find of the Day, we'll give 'em a pass. After all, it was reportedly built this way as a factory project for a retiring RV industry executive.

If you have any doubts as to the suitability of the Toronado as an RV, consider the fact that the awesome spaceship-shaped GMC motorhomes used the exact same front-wheel drive platform. In any case, this machine has only 68,000 miles, and the engine was replaced with a new short block 4,000 miles ago.

According to the owner, this RV can sleep up to four, comes with a full bathroom and shower and a kitchen with stove and fridge. There are also a spattering of roof-mounted skylights for stargazing under those beautiful rural night skies. Want it? There are still a few more days left on the auction, or you can end it right now for $15,000. Happy bidding! Thanks for the tip, Bill M!

This is an RV of epic proportions! WOW!

The proportions looked familiar, but I couldn't quite figure out why. Then I pictured with flames and a chrome exhaust stack:

      Rodimus Prime!

Every time you look at the speedomiter it is like spinning the wheel on the price is right...
well, as long as you don't get up to the WRONG price!

A companion should be made out of a '70 Eldorado - you'll have a slightly more luxurious interior in the cab, and you'll have 45 more cubic inches - for a total of 500 to pull all that weight. You'll be able to crest about any mountain pass at 90, if you were so "inclined"
      (pun intended).

....now if they only offered a Boss Hog hood ornament with the sale,.....question is do you put it on the hood, or the sleeper cab?
AMAZING!! And its probably bigger than my apartment!
Amen to that! This thing is bitchin'!
The front end alone is probably bigger than my first apartment.

I bet you could sleep 5 people comfortably under that hood.

Oh, and an update on the camper interior wouldn’t go amiss.
      That is seriously awesome!

This is what someone on Top Gear should have built instead of the 3-story condo, the mobile mansion and the sleeping bag in a torpedo.

But that spaghetti dinner of a wiring nightmare in the engine bay scares me.

Now THIS is cool. I'd get a big kick out of seeing this show up at the races. How's the towing capacity?
