The internets recently caught fire after what appeared to be a new Lancia Stratos was spotted hustling around a Fiat test track in Italy. At this point, it's still difficult to tell whether the car is an all new project from the company that brought the world some of the most wicked rally beasts of all time or if a bored exec simply decided to take the 2005 Fenomenon Stratos Concept Car out for a quick run around. If that latter possibility is true, the car has received a little bit of front fascia work since it took a spin on the show circuit some five years ago.
Whatever the case, the crew at Fiat Blog have come up with a few renderings to help those of us with imagination impairments figure out exactly what the car would look like from all sides. Here's a hint: It's as hot as you'd expect an Italian wedge to be. So far, all we know is what Italispeed – the site that broke the shots originally – has suggested, which is that the car we've all been drooling over is a one-off project for one very wealthy individual. Head over to Fiat Blog for a look at all of the rendered goodness. Thanks for the tip, Sean!

Loving the back, taillights scream 8C, the front on the other hand not so much.

I hate to feed the trolls, but here goes.

Gruv - Physically abusing a vulnerable female takes very little effort and in no way shows me how motivated you are to own this car. Maybe just raise the money and pay for it , yeah? Also condoms don't always work.

Tyler - Someone just said that they would drop kick a pregnant girl and you are taking issue with the fact that someone decided to have a baby with their girlfriend? Being married doesn't make a father any better. A country can't have morals, individuals can.

Nostrathomas - Great show of solidarity there man. Canada did not ask for you to speak for it. Also Gruv's "joke" wasn't really funny. I'm not say anything about bad taste. It just wasn't funny.

Some people need to grow actually pair and stop spewing whatever hateful garbage they can to seem cool or whatever. I'm done with my soapbox. You can say whatever. I won't be responding. In fact It would be nice if this whole thread could be deleted because it has nothing to do with the car, which is very cool, and I would like one.

Weird front end. The car reminds me of a Qvale Mangusta for some reason. An italian with odd proportions.

@ Onoz. Drop kicking a pregnant girl is not physically hard. But it is very wrong and immoral. Hence, I would want this car so bad I'd consider doing something wrong.

I feel bad for you that I even had to explain this.

I'm also Canadian, and let me just say that most of us can take an obvious joke.

The lancia stratos is one of my favorite cars of all time. I generally hate most new cars, but if they build this it will officially be the ONE new car that I really really really want. Like, I'd drop kick a pregnant chick for it. In the belly.

        Gruv,
My girlfriend is pregnant, and I find your comment quite disgusting...

        PS: Condoms. They work.

It has been built for Martin Kapp, the same guy who commissioned Zagato to make the Alfa Romeo TZ3.

      Yes please.

Why is the headline "Spy Shots" when the new images are actually RENDERINGS? There is a difference...

I'd be a lot more excited by photos than mere illustrations (amazing as they are).

This car looks badass, is it coming to the U.S? I hope so, this would sell like hot cakes.

      It's just a remodeled F430...

Remember the Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake? I do. Won't get fooled again.

Until there's official comment or a press release from Fiat Group, this is all conjecture.

I love it. Kinda like the simplicity of the front end too. Kinda goes in the face of how extreme and seemingly overstyled some current supercars are getting.
Bizarre that it is photographed on Pininfarina's roof turntable as it was originally a Bertone design....
      Loves it.

The pasted/photoshoped wheels on the back picture look awful.
why not just look at the car they released a few years ago?

      Needs pop-up lights!
Pop-up lights fall under retro buddy! Tastefully done, it could be well conceived.
No, definitely not. This is retro design, not kitsch revivalism.
