Bentley Continental GT spy shots – Click above for high-res image gallery

A few months ago, our crafty spy photographers managed to snap a single shot of the next-generation Bentley Continental GT with all of its camouflage stripped away, revealing the Conti's swoopy new shape and updates to the front and rear fascias. Now, our spies have returned with a new batch of shots, and while the car is completely covered in checkerboard camo, we can see the new GT from a few new angles.

Up front, Bentley has added new LED headlamps similar to those on the Big Daddy Mulsanne, nicely flanking the more upright grille and prominent lower air intakes. Out back, we see that the Continental uses a more sloped, hatchback-like rear window, though the dead-on rear view confirms that a standard-issue trunk will still be in place. Obviously, LEDs are the bulbs of choice for the taillamps, and we like how the revised rear design better highlights the Conti's shapely hips.

The new Continental GT may be covered from head to toe, but we won't rule out a possible debut at this year's Paris Motor Show. Until then, scroll through our gallery for high-res shots of the new Bentley out on the road.

Either really good camo or really bad product planning, but I can barely see the difference.
I can. But subtlety is the idea. Why throw away one of the most classic modern designs of all time?
I think that's the point. Higher end lux cars like this are evolutionary in their design changes, not revolutionary.

If you compare it to the current one, the rear fenders on the new one are less pronounced, while the front fenders (have more of flattened ridge line) become more pronounced like the Mulsanne. Also looks like the taillights wrap up and onto the fender areas. In addition the grille is more upright and slightly wider.

Afterall, this is one of the best looking cars in the world, why mess with it too much???

Perhaps it is a Mary Quant limited edition....

Is this a redesign or is it just an update?

Is it wrong that I kinda want that paint job on my MR2?

Anyone else finding it hard to get excited about Bentley continuous 'new' models? Does anyone care?
I have to imagine that Lindsay Lohan is excited about each Bentley. Means there's one more model that she hasn't crashed while in a drunken stupor......

Besides, can't be seen going TO and FROM rehab in the same Bentley model

Really? You're joking, right? I really hope you are.

The SC isn't even in the same market at the Continental GT. It's power, price, and size should show this. The size difference between the 2 is at least 2'. Show me a factory SC that makes over 500hp.

      Oh and another thing...

Explain to me how the SC is killing this in sales, yet your precious SC was axed from production JUST for having low sales. The SC isn't even built anymore and there isn't a plan to bring it back. The IS-C took up that niche.

Say what? You're being sarcastic right? Lexus is killing the SC because it's jurassic and no one's buying them (didn't they already?). Also, the SC costs what, $60k? It does not compete with a Bentley that costs $100 k more.

seems like a refresh..which is not a bad thing, This car is menacing to look at...

I think want that camo on my car so it always looks like I am driving a pre-production of my 95 Pathfinder!

      I see the headlines...

"Looks like they are going back to the old school with these new spy shots of the 2012 pathfinder!"
Not sure which one, but one of the vehicle wrap makers is offering "concept" car wraps. You can get the checkerboard, swirls, bad duct tape or various other "beat the spy photog" looks.

i do know the engines will be getting a power boost as well-as if they were ever under-powered! the convertible is the best looking one, but overall, i just cant get past the vw engine! and yes the w12 is a vw engine it was found in the phaeton and the a8! and now i hear the new a8 is getting a small boost in size to 6.3 liter w12 instead of the 6! the only difference between the bentley version and the others would be the turbos! me personally, id go for the mulsanne because i love bigger cars, but the continental series is no a bad deal!
