How BP handles a coffee spill – Click above to watch the video after the jump

Recent estimates put the spill in the Gulf of Mexico as growing by anywhere from 20,000 to 40,000 barrels of oil per day – making the slick four times as large as the Exxon Valdez incident. After multiple failed attempts to stem the flow, the public is beginning to get the idea that BP has no idea how to contain this disaster. With widespread ecological destruction already in full swing and growing by the second, it's hard not to wonder just how bad this is going to get before a workable solution comes to light. In the mean time, the residents of the gulf coast continue to watch as one slip up from a global corporation threatens to end their current livelihoods.

As dark as the situation is, we could all use a little laughter, and the Upright Citizens Brigade have taken it upon itself to give the petroleum giant the ribbing it deserves with a new video. The quick flick asks the question: How would BP handle a conference room coffee spill? Hilarity ensues. Hit the jump to see for yourself, but be aware that there is some explicit language.

Hilarious but at the same time a very accurate illustration of BP's response.

where's Obama saying its the government's responsibility but its not their burden. And what about Obama demanding pay for the secretary who got laid off because there wasnt enough work for her without being able to schedule conferences, and the coffee guy who got laid off since without the conferences, there was less need for coffee delivery?

More like, mildly amusing - borderline lame.

Now I really get what the whole facepalm thing is about. I felt embarrassed for anyone involved in that tepid pile of comedic fail. I just kept watching and waiting for someone to do something even remotely entertaining. However if it was their goal to create a comedy sketch as pathetic and hopeless as the oil spill scenario then congrats guys, mission accomplished.

Logic Play - a gallon and a barrel are not the same thing! There are 42 gallons of oil in a barrel, so 20,000-40,000 barrels leaking per day would equal 840,000 - 1,600,000 gallons per day.

Both the administration and BP have dropped the ball:

This is what passed as comedy nowadays? Is this supposed to make us feel better? BP execs do not deserve any sympathy, I concur...but neither do the folks who are involved in the production of this dang thing.

      Funny.

That video could just as easily be a WH coffee spill, except nobody would notice anything was spilled until 12 days later, at that point they would call the justice dept to investigate who's fault it was, then 2 months later and after a few dozen rounds of golf they would look from someone's ass to kick.

Autoblog - What does this post have to do with cars?

Why not stick to the topic instead of posting unrelated articles that will only alienate British visitors to this blog which fund this website via advertising.

Looks like you took the bait hook, line, and sinker. But not if you live on the Gulf Coast, because you're not going to be fishing over there.
Exactly! It even showed up on Jalopnik.

If oil is related to cars, then they should post what happened to a bird's plumage when they're stuck in oil.

This is just fodder for those political trolls.
