2011 Aston Martin V12 Vantage – Click above to watch video after the jump

If you've felt an unexplained disturbance in the automotive force recently, it can probably be attributed to the scheduled arrival of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage on American shores. We've been lusting after this thing since it first cropped up as concept way back in 2007, and now the ridiculously wealth or the fantastically in debt can finally get their paws on the car here in the U.S. The recipe is simple – take the brawny, 510 horsepower 6.0-liter V12 from the DBS, cram it into the engine bay of the lithe Vantage, add louvers and call it a day. Sorta.

Aston Martin has taken it upon itself to prime the collective American pump for the V12 Vantage debut by releasing a quick teaser video. It's dipped in sweet, slow-motion glory shots of the car doing what it does best – sending tires to their smoky grave and conning otherworldly speed out of seemingly plebian strips of asphalt. There are even a few shots of the race-derived version loftily beating its way around the Nurburgring. We're in love. Hit the jump to see it for yourself.

I do not really like the hood louvers, but overall still a beautiful car.

Love.This.Car. Timeless exterior. Questionable interior. Incredible sounding V12!

Timeless indeed. I never get tired of looking at this car.

        1998 was a good year.
Except for the front. It looks like something made in 1998.

I love this car too, but I've heard that the seating position on the vantage isn't very good and makes the car feel much bigger than it really is... then again, you don't buy these for their seating positions

For as nice as a car the Vantage is I will always love the Vanquish.

The interior is pretty fantastic. Conveniently there is an Aston/Bentley dealership in my town and having sat in both I can definitely say that the Bentley's interior is more comfortable, but the Aston's interior isn't meant to be the ultimate in comfort - it is to be comfortable while being sporty. It certainly succeeds at that goal and is top notch in quality compared to any other vehicle on the road today.

I actually had an '08 Roadster and have to say that the interior is very accommodating, well laid out (minus some iffy buttons) and an ergonomic utopia. Fit an finish were top notch and the acres of leather showed almost zero wear after 10K miles... Just absolutely loved the car and miss it badly. I've gotta see this V12 in the flesh!

"Aston Martin V12 Vantage rocks our world"

In other news, sky is blue. I kid, I kid.. The Vantage (and all Astons IMO) are some of the most finely crafted automobiles in the entire world. They always have been, and I can't see that changing for the foreseeable future.

      Greatest. Car. Ever.

That said, wonder what happen if you swapped out the Aston V12 for a LS9.

Beautiful car as always. My one criticism would be that the hood seems a little busy with all those vents. I'm sure they're funcitonal, but 4 sets of vents, 2 of them extra long?

I still can't get over those wheels. They look like something that'd be on a mid 90s GM truck with clear taillights and window visors.
      Very nice. Very nice indeed.

I dont like the rims and what they did to the body over the regular version idk but the look of this just doesn't settle right with me.
I am not the biggest fan of the wheels either, but that is easy.

I do like the bodywork updates, though.

This car is in the running for list of lustiest front-engined cars ever. Maybe even without the "front engined" criteria restriction.
