Witness the Hoenshell Shutter – Click above to watch the video after the break

Packing up from a good riding session or track day is never fun, and if you're anything like us, the task may suffer from a bad case of the monotonous blues. If you're looking for a way to put a new spin on the old routine, motorcycle stunt rider Eric Hoenshell has you covered.

During a film session for Speed Channel's new motorcycle series Stealth Rider, the cameras caught Hoenshell as he shut the tailgate in host of Super Bikes and all around stunt superstar Jason Britton's face. Britton and fellow stuntman Tony Carbajal were pumped to witness the invention of the new trick bearing Eric's namesake, the Hoenshell Shutter. This is where we should give the don't try this at home speech, but who are we to put the brakes on creativity? Hit the break for the full video, just don't break your neck spicing up your routine. Thanks for the tip, Allan!

LOL that was sick! I love the guy in the red jacket's reaction...went to help him off cuz he thought he was stuck.

Also, +10000 for helmet and full gear while doing this.

@elmo Exactly. I'm glad they mention safety at every show. Jason underwent back/neck surgery last year is was able to come back from it.

Those guys are sick! I could never do it, but it is a thrill to watch.

that guy in the "red jacket" is the legendary stunt rider Jason Britton. He's the Tony Hawk of stunting. How many tricks have you invented lately? How many bikes have you 12oclock-wheelied?
Professional stunt riders look down upon morons who don't wear full gear. Eric Hoenshell and Jason Britton are 2 of the top stunt riders in this sport. Hence why they're wearing gear.

Very impressive but I'm spoiled....saw Chris Pfeiffer in person at the Super Bike race in Tooele last weekend and Pfeiffer's...well....you decide.

No, not really when compared to this:

        bikerpunks.com/mediaviewer/2661/john-mcguinness-isle-of-man-tt-practice-.html

These guys ,while talented, do not have enough courage between them to hold John McGuiness' jock. The video in the link above gives you a glimpse of what is known as real road racing. Mistakes here are quite frequently of the lethal variety. The Isle of Man TT is on and we get stunter posts on AB. Pisses me off...rant over.

Yup the guy on the truck was right. After seeing something like that it's time to go home...

That guy in the red jacket is Jason Britton, host of the Speed TV show Super Bikes and the lead stunt team driver for the team.
Check youtube for some of his and his teams' tricks.

Good, then we'll have a lot of hilarious bike crash videos to watch. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Nice, but can he do it with the Man Step?
I wonder, if I gave him a few chamois, if he could buff out a few spots on my car...

Pretty cool. Just amazes me how people keep raising the bar with respect to talent in not only competitive sports but even leisure sports like these. Back when I was a kid racing motocross and playing around with dirtbikes in general, we never could have thought of doing some of the things guys do on bikes these days. And I'm sure old-timers were thinking the same about us back then too!
