2011 Audi A8L W12 – Click above to watch the video after the jump

There's a difference between being rich and being downright wealthy. And while the 2011 Audi A8L W12 can only be afforded by anyone who falls into the very top tax bracket, the style, refinement and technology built into Audi's newest flagship will make anyone feel like they're worth a (couple) million bucks.

You thought your S Class made you a high roller? Think again.

Put on your best Italian suit and hand-made cuff links, and follow the jump to watch what the latest twelve-cylinder luxury barge has to offer.

looks like a slightly aerodynamic block of butter with the 'funny ears flapping in the wind' effect virtually nonexistent when a high pressure weather system moves in to ruffle some feathers.

      despicable. and slightly fatuous.

2011 A8L, has been redesigned inside out, it's a good balance between super luxury cars such as RR or Bentley and 7 or S class. It give you more luxury and functions as well as keep you a low profile.

your opening line might go well with the Mulsane, but an A8 - phuuuleasee

no matter what they do with it, anyone in the top $$ bracket will definietely not opt for something that anyone making over 1/4mil can afford, adn even those of us with regular jobs will get used

But, that's not to say this is not a nice ride, but it is one uglified A8 compared to last generation

it has lost it's way in this new model

I agree, the last gen is way hotter. It's on my car to get next list (used of course).

I think their opening line is bass ackwards. It should be...there are wealthy, then there are downright filthy rich. Duh. And I think the new A8 looks fine, an obvious evolution of the last car. But the stupid LED strips in the headlights KILL it. They draw your eyes and then you can't help but keep running your eyes over them. They just plain ruin the design.

i just don't get why you wouldn't stick to a limo...because seriously the front seat having to go forward to get your footrest seems way to utility for something that supposed to be luxury...isn't luxury about not compromising?

Agree, I think the last generation was a much better looking car. This thing reminds me of when Bangle got control of BMW, and everything started looking bizarre, instead of restrained, tasteful, german design.

      Nice and elegant.

i don't care for it, a lot of the editing seemed odd, all that focus on the shapes and detail of modern furniture with finishes that seemed like they would be at home in the a8 just to cut to a panning of the exterior? poorly lit shot of the rear infotainment? I dunno, just odd... maybe audi's hoping to surprise buyers when they finally stumble in to check the car out?

      "Jeep Wrangler"

That would be fun to drive on vacation in Florida, but anything more would be too loud/bone jarring/kidney bleeding/cold in winter. Anytime I see some dude driving down the interstate in a Wrangler with the plastic window zipped up I think, Wow that looks uncomfortable. Yah, I know SOUL brother.

Great Interior, one of the best. I always try to seat in the Audi's at the car show, and the A8 seats are probably the best.

Just shove LEDs on the previous one and you've got yourself a "new" A8!
I wonder when they will ever have a major change with its basic lines. It's getting boring.

Just one question: Does Audi now make the world's largest car front grille??? Yikes! ...and then you have to mount a license plate on it? Oh yeah...classy!

There's a difference between being rich and being downright wealthy. Except nobody will know you're wealthy, rich or paycheck-to-paycheck since thing thing looks like a $399/month $1500 down at signing 2008 A4.

What a useless car for the times.

Does it have to be beige?
