They're doing it again! Last year at the famed Laguna Seca circuit, Speed Ventures hosted Refuel, a gathering of alternatively fueled vehicles that culminated with the SportElectric TT. The chance to take private electric vehicles onto the track (for free!) and do some timed hot laps proved popular enough that this July 11th, the event will go sophomore.

While it does offer the opportunity for drivers to win trophies and set records on the 2.238 mile course, it's not all about speed. With so many EV fans on hand, it's the perfect opportunity for converters, manufacturers and others to congregate in the paddock and showcase their shiny stuff. Last year saw Teslas, a T-bucket and the TZero (Oh my!) tearing up the track and posing for pictures. This year, who knows? To get a taste of what you might expect should you bring your own EV, hit the jump for video featuring a leisurely Laguna lap aboard a Roadster.
