Hennessey Venom GT – Click above to watch video after the jump

By all accounts, the Hennessey Venom GT is an all-new level of bat-guano crazy. When everyone's favorite Texas tuner announced that it would be creating a hand-crafted, mid-engine terror, we all knew it was going to be special, even if our feeble little minds couldn't quite comprehend just how incredible the car would be. Now that the covers are off and we know that a 725-horsepower V8 feeds the rear tires a universe of punishment, we can't help but want a little seat time.

New footage of the $600,000 creation whipping around the streets and bi-ways of England has surfaced. Unlike the track video we caught a glimpse of last time, the new clip dishes up all the audio glory you'd expect from the behemoth. Hit the jump and crank it up.

      @ paul

Oh come on, that's just too easy.

finally some sounds. It's cool and all.... but I could put an Aston and an S5 in the driveway instead and be pretty happy with my savings..... and still blow a ton of cash on mods to both cars. .... still though, it's fun to see a really cool car come along..... this is pretty sweet.

Too bad this isn't original or unique enough to justify the price. Couldn't anyone throw a giant engine in a Lotus and do it for 80% less? I really don't understand what the hype of this car is about. They didn't even change the headlight cluster or anything to make it look different than a Lotus. The F1 by far is superior to this mish mash of spare parts from various companies.

neat how the $600k car just has a thin little piece of composite between the tailpipes and the world.

$600,000 and this is how they're promoting it?

Zooming around an industrial estate, only two guys: one driving and the other resting the camera on a road barrier.

I'm seriously expecting the next vid to have them doing burnouts in a tesco carpark at midnight.

Forgive me if I sound abit spoiled but if I'm dropping $600,000 on a car, it damn well better look like nothing else on the road... This does NOT do it for me at all.

I get it... The car is awesome performance wise. So is a top fuel dragster. Give me something that looks unique and not a car that looks like it was assembled out of a box with UPS stamped on the side.

Did Top Gear get their hands on this thing already?? That would be awesome

Looks as though this one is a Right-hand drive....

Way too much $ for an over powered Exige, it would definitely have too much power for British roads - stick to an original Exige and save yourself $530 K, or to anyone who is considering a purchase - maybe you should just buy a small cottage in England and put an Exige in the garage for around the same price as a Venom GT... food for thought!

These roads look like the ones right outside the lotus factory

It's filmed on the access road between Silverstone village and the circuit - 120 miles from the Lotus factory in Hethel...

Explains why he is driving on wrong side of road and turns against traffic on the roundabout.

I think I would be just as happy spending my 600K at Pratt and Miller.
