Click above to view episodes 1.1 and 1.2 of Translogic

Our brethren over at AOL Autos have just launched a new video series called Translogic. Hosted by the always-effervescent Bradley Hasemeyer, who we're convinced is somehow related to J.D. Roth, and the equally bubbly Caitlin Thompson, Translogic's goal is to introduce viewers to the cool, techy side of transportation in four weekly installments that add up to one mondo episode per month. You'll also be able to subscribe to the larger monthly episodes in iTunes once they complete the first four installments.

They've already released episodes 1.1 and 1.2, which you can view over at the Translogic website. In the duo's first two outings, Bradley and Caitlin visit Tesla, get a ride in an Ariel Atom (we know what that's like), talk to the man behind the Velozzi turbine-powered green supercar, and explore one of our all-time favorite topics: jet packs.

Head on over to check them out and let us know what you think in the comments. The AOL Autos team reads Autoblog everyday just like you and would appreciate some thoughtful suggestions from the community on how to keep improving Translogic.

Wow, truly awful. Horrible camera work and completely average "A.M. Nowhere" hosts.

      Blech.

Yeah, AOL does not do the video thing very well. I myself hate Elroy with a passion.. spastic dude with no testosterone.

I'll take some righteous American v8 lovin' dudes and some holier than thou electric/hybrid dudes, but elroy? aw helll naw.

Couldn't finish it. It's like they are trying to be like XPlay on G4TV, but waaay more annoying.

If Urchin was actually referring to the taller presenter he may have just made his first relevant/humorous post.

        +1.

Autoline Daily beats it in a heart beat, feels like something I'd see on G4 between programs.

I really wanted to like this show. The topics are great and that held my interest for a bit. But I just can't get over the quasi-hipster host and the "I'm here cause I'm hot" hostess (I like the hotties, but they've got to have the smarts too). The camera work is really distracting, often finding us viewing the speaker looking at the last camera position. I looks intentional, but ends up being really distracting.

It's sort of like a bad rip off of Attack of the Show, but trying even harder to be cool.

Just give us the great content, keep the cool info graphics style, and put a host on there that wasn't picked from a panel of execs to try to relate to a target audience.

See what Adam Carolla is up to.

Give it some time. Even the first few episodes of Top Gear (Season 1) were merely "meh."
