2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon – Click above for high-res image gallery

When we first told you about the new limited edition Corvette Z06 Carbon that Chevrolet plans to offer this fall, we had two measly photos to offer up from General Motors. In the run-up to this weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring, GM has shown the Z06 Carbon in public at the Corvette Corral, and now, more photos have now been released – including interior shots that you can find in our updated gallery.

Only 500 examples of the full-blown Carbon will be built, and they include numerous carbon fiber body parts and chassis components from the ZR1. Perhaps the best part of the new model is the inclusion of the carbon-ceramic brakes and the magnetic ride damping system from the supercharged car.

Of course, those that don't manage to get one of these limited edition models can put together most of the car by opting for the carbon fiber and Z07 packages.

Car is sweet...like the look of it.
however GM must make a promise for next Vette...no more sharing steering wheels with lesser machines. nobody wants a steering wheel from a lowly G6 on the car that is suppose to be the showcase/halo/performance pinnacle coupe...sorta takes away from such.

when will they come out with a new corvet and stop making special edions?
Actually they may look the same, the G6's wheel is much bigger.

But to make the matter worse it may be shared with the Cobalt.

There's probably a lot of carbon fiber on the exterior, but those headlight housings and some of the interior trim pieces are not in CF. It's not a big issue but when you call your car the "Carbon Limited Ed", i would expect that the parts mimicking CF would actually be made out of it. Bad ass car without a doubt....and honestly this is the only problem i had with the car when looking through the gallery.

      I like the color combo...super clean...super mean

They could make the whole car of carbon with our tax money. They are 50 billion in the hole to the taxpayer, all told. Sure, they could have wiring of pure gold too. They can afford it now. However, it would be immoral to purchase this car, as GM is now a fascist company and my grandfather died in Germany fighting just such things.

That is easily the best looking C6.
I agree. & easily one of the best looking modern 'Vettes.

argh, the seats still look like crap

        Are crap you mean?

After driving around in a 2010 CTS-V, I can't believe how bad the seats in the Vette are. Why is it that we can only get fantastic racing seats in a damn Cadillac sedan?

I've liked the C6 cheap interior and all. This has to be in my opinion the absolute perfect C6. Most of the performance of the ZR1 with that awesome LS7. The sounds that engine makes with the dual mode wow. I just wish that this was the ZO6, and not limited in production.

Are the wheels carbon too? That be neat! Either way, I'll take one, no make that two!

Love the carbon headlight assemblies, looks much better than the regular body colored ones.
this car should cost $80k tops.

forgot to add the "diecast" after the "two!"

Here we go again. GM with yet another edition of a played out sports car. I was a fan of the Corvette until the 22nd edition appeared last year. "Government Motors" hasn't changed an exterior or interior feature since its arrival back in 2004. I'm so sick of this car and its dry editions. Thank goodness I dry imports! I'm sure the baby boomers will down detest my comment.

I don't see what the problem is with a special edition here and there. If you don't like them, don't buy them, but it's nice of GM to offer something outside of the normal lines every once in awhile.

The Z06 is bad ass no matter what, and these special editions are going to be the collectors cars showing up on the Barrett Jackson auctions in 20 - 30 years.

Each hardcore version of the Vette that comes out helps end the god chain stereotype.
