I like 'em... simple and effective.

The commercials are good. These will appeal immensely to the Indian public. I haven't seen or driven the car in metal but for the first time in about a decade Ford has come out with the most relevant product for the Indian masses.
Doesn't matter the platform is old or new at least the product is most relevant for the ever growing Indian middle class.
Hopefully Ford will keep on track worldwide and esp here in North America even after Mullaly is gone. (Not suggesting that Mullaly is leaving or anything but eventually it will happen, hope that next in line managers are as good)

I agree 110%. It's the right car for the right market. Ford seems to have a knack for hitting that lately, I hope they can keep it up.

Ofcourse, the ford launches first of this hatchback segment .
The outlook of the car is owesome
      the interiors or colorful
the ad is taken for indian market.which is purely of indian culture
the company will really grap a large scale place in the market

This car is going to epically fail. The Chevy Beat is cheaper and has much better interior quality. Ford has to launch the new fiesta if it wants to gain the market share that it dreams about.

interior looks nice and classy but the exterior reminds me of the 2005 Ford Fiesta in Europe, mostly a holdover in design. Wish them luck..

Well I have driven the car and for the price Ford is offering the Figo at, it is very good value for money. By the way here are some images from the Ford Figo launch

Thanks, Lavkesh. I read most of that link that you provided and there were three items that I thought were noteworthy. 1) They say it can ford water 550MM (21.6 inches) deep. That's incredible! Good for the monsoon season. 2) The steering has only 2.81 turns lock to lock. That's very quick and good for avoiding accidents. 3) They made sure the air and oil filters would have enough capacity for the extra dusty conditions on many Indian roads. It seems like a very good car for Ford and the Indian market.

Y'll forgetting that this car is gonna cost no more then $6,000. Why? Think about the average Indian salary. Why else would ford recycle the old fiesta for India? Its def a good little car and more important its a proven vehicle in Europe. Think about it, a lot of the back roads are not even paved there. Wonder if Indians are gonna embrace the Figo like the Nano......

Going to cost less than $6000? No - the base model costs $7800 (Petrol) and top end diesel costs $13200. However, it is still a very good price for this segment car in India.

As for the new European Fiesta, it will be launched end 2010 in India and will be placed a segment above Ford Figo

One of those shots has Flinders St station in the background! (Melbourne, Australia for those of you scratching your heads)

Those pics also show Federation Square and the Queen Victoria Markets too, well spotted. I dare say this has something to do with Ford Australia's engineering role, this isn't the first car they've developed for the Indian market

It's a shame. This is the old Fiesta. This is the old Fiesta. It´s ok to keep good OLD products in the market, BUT do it before the introduction of the brand NEW Fiesta. It's a shame
        • 4 Years Ago
The new Fiesta isn't going to be sold in India, so it's OK. Remember, this is only for the Indian market.
That aside, the commercials are pretty nice.

Man that is bang on what an Indian commercial is like...for everything.
