2011 Audi RS5 promo footage – Click above to watch video after the jump

In what is currently raw footage but what will soon undoubtedly be slickly produced promotional material, the brutalicious 2011 Audi RS5 growls around a track and on various European roads. For a brief spell it even shares the screen with one of its spiritual brethren, the Ur Quattro.

These things don't need lots of explaining – follow the jump for the sight and sounds of two of the finest Audi models ever.

Absolutely gorgeous car, but I have to say that it sounds boring as hell.
Not much of an exhaust note (that might be because of the video), but it's also not a very entertaining sound either.

Then again, I'm partial to the sound of a boxer myself.

pretty sure it's due to hit the states this fall. wouldn't be surprised to see the sticker price at around $80k or more. i plan on scooping up one gently used in about 5 years.

I was horrified when the huge red one looked like it was going to eat the small silver one. On a serious note, being a LWB model, is it an Ur-Quattro, or a Quattro? It always confuses me.

The SWB version is the Quattro Sport, is it not?

And when they say, "Ur", do they mean "first", like with the Ursaab, which was the first Saab?

AB, when you go and pretend that you know anything about the German language, make sure you don't come out looking like a bunch of idiots. If you want to use the "Ur" expression, leave out the Umlaut. The Ã¤, Ã„ , Ã¶, Ã–, Ã¼ and Ãœ are used as separate letters. There is no word like "Ãœr." You might also familiarize yourself with the ÃŸ, another letter in the German language, it is used instead of ss or double s in certain words.
