Mini Countryman premiere video – Click above to view the video after the jump

We give Mini credit – when it's not busy Krinking its cars, leaving giant boxes outside or otherwise doings things that make us cock our heads to the side, it shows off its cars in pretty neat ways. The first Mini Countryman promo spot is more like a music video for the crossover... if there can be such a thing. Whatever you want to call it, it's got dogs, dirt, cows, pineapples, threesomes and a lesson in a disco, and how can you not love all that? Follow the jump to check it out.

Wow, I'm actually really starting to like this car.

Too bad I want a hatch next, not a crossover :P.

This promo makes me feel like an idiot for wanting one. I do NOT want to belong to the target group... but it did get me right from the beginning, as that "dance teacher" is a Finn (and he's been in other commercials, too)

      Another SUV? Wow, that's exciting.
It's identically-sized to the Suzuki SX4. Most people consider that car to be too small, so "SUV" away with your bad self.

Personally, I wish my MINI did have greater ground-clearance. It's often too low, and scrapes on steep inclines and or debris in the road, or on snow.

MINI's not stupid. They won't kill the "fun" here. I have faith.

Not sure about that central rail though. It sounds/looks silly. On the other hand, Web Radio in the car is hugely attractive!

It's a cool advert, but if I were Alec Issigonis I'd stop spinning in my grave, get up and start haunting the people who designed this abomination. Mini? My 4r$e!

This car is so cool! I would totally consider it for my new car.

same here, if only the interior wasn't so bad >

That over inflated "crossover" is still smaller than a 4 door Golf, dimensionally.

Is the author of this article aware that the so-called "threesome" involves a child in the middle of the bed?
Blech. A bulked-up Mini with pretensions to things it can't actually do, pointlessly compromised handling, and inflated curb weight?

I know they'll sell a million of 'em, but Alec Issigonis is rolling in his grave...

Forget offroading pretensions - it's a Mini with all-wheel drive! I wish they made the standard Cooper S with AWD, but in the absence of that, this could be the next best thing (if you like Minis, that is).
