New Hyundai Sonata commercial – Click above to watch video after the jump

The 2011 Hyundai Sonata is set to go on sale soon, so get ready for plenty of marketing to hype its arrival. Hyundai already showed the world its new mid-size sedan in a Super Bowl commercial, but we've just been handed a new commercial that's set to begin airing next month. What does strapping an attractive young woman to bungee cords, then to an ATV and loading up those cords with enough potential energy to pull a tree stump out of the ground have to do with the new Sonata? Follow the jump to find out.

Awesome idea, though they overdid the cg on the second rebound when the girl flew back towards the ATV. Little more physics and it would've been 10/10

They have a ride like this in Orlando Florida. The human slingshot. It propels you to 360ft into the air, about 0-100mph in 3.5 seconds. Just do a search on it. There's some hilarious videos of people who have done it.

Here's a video without any sound to give you the idea of how high up you go:

      Here's another popular one:

Anyways, it appears the ride has been duplicated in several places around the country.

Here's another bungee stunt in Japan, I think even crazier:
