Confused.com wraps an entire street in bubble wrap – Click above to watch video

UK site Confused.com exists to answer questions about things, especially things that cost car owners a lot of money – like insurance, for instance. To make the point about how car accidents can utterly wreck your insurance premiums, the site has wrapped a whole street, and everything on and around it, in bubble wrap. The avenue chosen was Somerville Road in Worcester "as having generated one of the highest numbers of accident claims in the UK." The rest is air-filled history. Follow the jump to see the amusing before and after. Hat tip to Erica!

The bubble-wrap job was a very irresponsible choice. Very wasteful too. I can't believe they would spend so much time and money just to make more garbage. It's stuff like this that really pisses me off.

Meh. I didn't find that entertaining at all.

Wow. That is seriously uncool. I can't believe a company would think this would generate positive PR in the age of green. What an irresponsible waste.

We have a fairly aggressive mixed-stream recycling system here where I live and they won't take bubble wrap. So I expect this won't get recycled. At least people will have a lot of fun popping it.

There are people starving in the world, and you do THAT?
Not even mentioning the total waste of time, materials....
      Is this FOX news?

I guess it's not wasteful if they donate the wrap to a shipping company.

Meanwhile there's a floating trash dump in the Pacific gyre twice the size of Texas and made up mostly of our discarded plastics crap. What a bunch of dolts!

Nothing original here. There was a car, or maybe insurance, commercial a year or so ago that did exactly the same thing. Yawn.
