David Letterman driving a $25,000 motorized cupcake - Click above to watch the video after the break

Mmm... What could be better than eating a cupcake? How about driving one? And not just any cupcake, mind you, but one powered by clean, green electricity. The last time we heard of such a conveyance, the machines were being sold for the low, low price of $25,000 in the Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog.

It would appear that none other than Late Show host David Letterman couldn't keep himself out of the driver's seat of 24 volts worth of electric cupcake goodness, displaying his unbelievable driving skills right on the stage of his own set. Okay, fine. Letterman's no Leno, but at least it looks like he was out there to have a bit of fun, right?

"There is no off position on the genius switch," indeed. Click past the break to watch the video.

$25,000 and it doesn't even reverse. Is that chicken wire I see used to shape the top?

On another note. Sometimes I get the impression that David just doesn't give a shit anymore. It actually makes him funnier.

I dont watch Letterman because I've never found him that funny...and his famous "TOP 10" segment has always sucked.

But, this clip was pretty damn funny.

$25,000 for this ! maybe this goes someway towards explaining why the
American auto industry is in such a state !

I would like a list of the other toys presented on this program, besides the cupcake car, please.
