UNC Tarheels Edition 2010 Chevrolet Camaro – Click above to watch the video

Many of us Autobloggers went to colleges that cultivated rabid alumni, but having seen this 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, our graduates were amateurs. In fact, we didn't realize you could love college, or its title-winning basketball team, so much. But a CarDomain forum member called "QuMongous" loves him some University of North Carolina Tarheels, and put his car in the game to prove it. Argyle pinstripes, his school's logo on the door, a hand-painted mascot on the rear quarters, and massive blue Dubs with UNC center caps have made this muscle car a tailgating hero. And wait until you see the back window.

Day-um. That's all we have to say. Follow the jump to see a walkaround of the car. And to you Tarheels players, you owe this guy another championship.

      No, this site is dominated by people who love cars.

      Most people would not be caught dead in a car that looks like that unless it were part of the parade to celebrate winning the NC.

      but one part of your last statement is correct, if it does not suit someone's tastes, it is considered stupid in that person's opinion. In this case, most of the people here are use to salivating over Ferraris, Bugatti's and Mustangs. .......;)

      This is the internet where you don't have to temper your opinion and I have no desire to placate you just to get through the conversation without making you feel bad as I would in real life ( well.....that's a nice color!)....toughen up.

      Not my taste, but it looks cool and doesn't look ghetto. And just because something looks ghetto doesn't mean its ugly. Just because this guy has the money and balls to customize his car the way he wants to doesn't mean people have to hate on him.

      Holy Crap. Huggy Bear would be embarrassed to drive this thing...

      Lol a black man with a Camaro on rims is automatically ghetto lol typical fools on this site.

      Now that is a sign of desperation to move a Camaro...as Polly Prissy Pants noted - why the alumni play? After you pay the tuition and fees at UNC, they should buy YOU a Camaro (with a choice NOT to get this "trim level")
      • 5 Years Ago
      The rims would be acceptable if they were the same color as the car. That's just nasty.

      Argyle and Camaro should never go together.

      Never really understood the whole rabid alumnus phenomenon. You pay an average tuition of $35,000 for an "education" that is of dubious quality and value, then when you finally get out and get that assistant manager job at Starbucks all you want to do is send them more money and buy their logo'ed merch, including painting your car in matching colors (I've seen plenty others)?

      Go ahead and vote me down, I just wish I understood the person whose school defined them to this degree.

        @Polly

        100% agree, there's tons of College cult members out there. Ridiculous.

        Who says he's an alumni? Next to the University of Texas, UNC-CH probably has more t-shirt fans (fans that don't actually have a relationship with the college) than any other in the country. They're the ones that would do something so obnoxious as this. This is an excellent example of why, as a student at a NC school of better academic quality (not Duke), I dislike the Tarholes. I am not shocked at all to see this.

      They're only building one to keep up with consumer demand.
