More Danica Patrick news and this time, it's actually racing related. Last week came a report that Ms. Patrick had inked a multi-year deal with the recently restructured Andretti Autosport, putting to rest the rumors that the sometime-swimsuit model was headed to NASCAR. Well, Sporting News is now reporting that the gun might have been jumped on that conclusion. It seems that the GoDaddy pitchwoman is about to announce a deal to drive for Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s NASCAR Nationwide Series team in 2010.

SN is reporting that Danica will run the full IndyCar calendar and a limited Nationwide schedule, with GoDaddy sponsoring her stock car. According to the GoDaddy website, the formal announcement will come at 1 PM ET Tuesday, December 8. We'll be sure to watch for that announcement and update as needed.

So much hate for Danica...you guys really need to get your heads checked. She has improved her IRL points total, as well as her number of top 5 finishes, every year since her rookie year. Remind me again how she's not a good driver?

Us Men aren't the only ones who read the news.

I think it's mean to inspire the young spirits of school-age girls who "supposedly" need role models of their own group (women) in order to be successful. But by all barometers of success, I think... young males are in far more need of positive icons they can look up to, they don't graduate high school as often, go to college as often, graduate college as often, go to jail more, kill more, rape more, steal more, etc, then their female counterparts.

Danica is a average driver at her very best but that little she devil gives me a boner....

EWW. I kinda had some respect for her tenacity, but i can't respect anything NASCAR.

A reason to finally watch Nascar.

I agree with Charles. Why is it that we hear so much news about her just because she is a girl? It's fine if she races and all that but shes not that good from what I understand so why is she getting such rich coverage from you guys?

Being a woman myself I would much rather see a woman who can actually drive well get coverage than someone who can kind of drive with nice tits.

Here's to 26th place finishes and useless coverage on ESPN.

She has to make it out of ARCA first and get a license before we even see her in a Nationwide Series car. Very few IRL drivers make the leap successfully.

Apperance is king in this country. That's why we have a president who can only read a teleprompter, and celeberties that are worshiped who have accomplished nothing. If Danica looked like a dog, she would be schrounging for a formula ford ride.

The only problem I have with Danica is she is in desperate need of a vocal coach. If you listen to her interviews it's all "um, well, you know, um, yeah, you know, well"...I know she has a "good enough degree" (her words, not mine) but please spare us from hearing your constantly poor speaking habits. Yes, you can drive, that is apparent from placing fifth place in a series dominated by Ganassi and Penske, but you need to drive EVERYTHING you can get your hands on. Why have AJ Allmendinger, Sam Hornish, Dario Francitti, Patrick Carpentier, and Jacque Villenueve struggled in NASCAR? Practice makes perfect and they all just jumped right in. They all should have spent at least a year in ARCA and a year in Nationwide before getting into a Sprint Cup car. Danice will be no exception.

Please learn to speak more eloquently and then I'll take you seriously.

"That’s right, Patrick isn’t going straight to NASCAR’s premier Sprint Cup Series to compete against Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. No, she’ll start in the ARCA Series, known best for its copious wrecks and anonymity. From there, she’ll try to earn a license that will allow her to compete in the Nationwide Series – NASCAR’s Triple-A – beginning in February at Daytona." - Yahoo sports

At least we might not hear so much about Jr. now.....maybe. And as over-rated as many seem to feel she is, my money says she outperforms Jr. before too long.
She wont be racing Jr. for a few years - can you guys even read?

Bwahahahaha! Obviously you haven't really looked at Ms. Patrick. Her "tits" are almost non existent. Not that that matters. She is nice to look at though. Oh, and if you actually watched her races you'd know that she can indeed drive!
