Well Heeled: Ferrari and Tod's team up for driving mocs
Tod's driving loafers and Ferraris go together like gin and vermouth, if not because every barchetta-driving playboy on the Amalfi Coast is sporting a pair, then because Ferrari's longtime chairman Luca di Montezemolo also sits on the board of the leathercrafter's company. But now the two companies have teamed up to bridge the divide with a special line of loafers bearing the iconic Cavallino Rampante.
The shoes bear all the hallmarks of Tod's enduring design – comfort, flexibility, style and those little rubber nubs in lieu of actual soles, all the better for gripping the pedals. The Ferrari line upgrades with little prancing horses, insoles patterned after Ferrari seats and – in the case of the Gommino Mascherina Griglia – a badge on the tongue reminiscent of the GTO's grille, replacing the tassels or laces on the Leccetto or Laccetto Tubi GT. They're available in a variety of colors, but will set you back a little more than the horse-emblazoned Puma sneaks available at your local Foot Locker.

Yet more overpriced crapola with Ferrari written on it. It's getting to be as bad as all the cheapo junk with Corvette logos.

Its SUEDE not TWEED... Never seen an Alcantara(durable fake suede) seats or headliners in a supercar? Lots of them use it.

I am pretty sure, I know better than you do, what I have in mind.

when you walk on some kinds of surfaces(certain carpet textures and pebbly surfaces) with them, the little buttons on the sole create a sliding ripple motion....uncomfortable and kinda unsteady.

$450 a pair, huh? I'm offering $50, but prepared to go to $60 if you lose the ferarri logos.

Ugh, I dislike soles with nubs or lugs for driving. They tend to get caught on the edges of the pedals. I prefer relatively smooth-soled but grippy shoes, like basketball or tennis shoes.

The collaboration between Ferrari and Tods has been going on for a few years now.
I bought a pair about 2 years ago and although I love them they are only really useful for going from the house to the car, from the car to the restaurant/bar/etc. and back again. My previous pair of Tods driving loafers (non Ferrari) died a very rapid death because I tried to actually walk in them. Heaven forbid.

I like Ferrari and I like Tod's but these are kind of a scam.

Put simply and well.
I agree on the three accounts.

Just about 40 dollars over a regular pair of Tod's. Nothing out of the ordinary for luxury items like these. Too expensive? Not for you then.

Here here! Apparently not many people on here know anything about cars or about shoes. Nice to see someone else who does. To quote Oscar Wilde again: "Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing"
This lot wouldn't know a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo's from sweatshop Nike's.

People who dont want to spend the money on a great pair of driving shoes will never understand the value of a great pair of driving shoes. Tods Driving Mocs are fantastic shoes, Ive had a pair last 14 years and counting. Sure I paid over 400 CAN for them, but I wear them everywhere. Ive had more ladies comment on these then on a pair of Bruno Magli's paired with a suit. These Tods conform to the shape of your feet better then some cheap knockoff from Clarks or Pilotti, and will continue to maintain. And after 14 years, they still shoe very little sign of wear.

I've always wanted a pair of Tod's. Not so much with a Ferrari logo though.
