Spy Shots: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee out testing in Detroit

A little lawsuit isn't going to keep Chrysler from getting the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee ready for production. The next generation family-sized Jeep was spotted on Michigan roads. Looking rather spiffy in a matte black coat, from the side the SUV is a Cherokee with just a bit of a twist. However, the revisions to the rear and front, as well as its stance, appear to give it more European feel than any Jeep has ever had. Especially from the back it is heavily scented with an X5 influence.
If it gets an old world luxury interior to match, then who knows – the 2011 Grand Cherokee could be all growed up. You can have a look at it for yourself in the gallery of photos below. Hat tip to Peter.

I think its a very tasteful evolution of the current Grand Cherokee. Can't wait to see it on the roads

I saw a non-camoflaged, de-badged version driving around in West Los Angeles 2+ months ago.
Looked good.

is it just me or does anybody here seem to think that the rear lights like kinda similar to those on the back of the current Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon?

This new GC is very exciting!
I was floored when it was 1st introduced at how nice it looks and the additional tech that it has (adjustable air susp --- ohh my). I really want one. I'm just so disappointed that it couldn't have been realized much earlier.

Last saturday I saw a Volt with a huge bra on, I beeped at him and waived. He was a she - and she waved back :-)

I know what you mean Michaeal. I few weeks ago when I was getting on to I-96, I was in behind a 2011 Ford Edge covered in camouflage. But I could still she the blue oval and it was shaped like a current Edge.

just as long as you mind the road; I've lost track of how many times I've been driving a camo'ed vehicle, and some dimp almost ran me off the road 'cos they were paying more attention to trying to snap a photo with their cell phone.

How do kids get their hands on preproduction vehicles? Mommy and daddy?

"How do kids get their hands on preproduction vehicles? Mommy and daddy?"
probably just a young-looking engineer or tech. Letting an unauthorized person drive a test car is a terminable offense at every automaker and supplier I know of.
