Rendered Speculation: Camaro, Le Mans-style

Concept Le Mans Camaros rendered by Vizualtech -- Click above for image gallery
Ah, it's the Swedes again. Never content to sit around when there's a perfectly good car you could mod, a gent named Bo Zolland at Viztech has rendered what he thinks a Le Mans or ALMS Camaro could look like, and there are a couple of no-good drifters in there as well. Of course this doesn't mean that there will be a Camaro in either series, but it's fun to play, no? However, if any of these cars did come to life, we'd take the red SS with the white stripes and front-side-exit exhaust. Sideways. Have a look at Zolland's work in the gallery of photos below.

Repeat after me: A drawing of a car, not matter how cool or well done, is not a car.

And what is the point of putting the Camaro in LeMans? it would be competing against the vette and that won’t go over well.
Keep the vette in LeMans and keep the Camaro in Grand-Am
Done.

Looks more like a SuperGT car. This thing would never fly at Le Mans.

@adam1drift
I was thinking it would compete in the GT3 Challenge class against the 911s.

Looks like fun. I want a lightened 302 v8 powered Camaro with a 9000 rpm redline. I don't need a 13 liter huge motor.

I don't hate or love the Camaro, but this just looks sweet.

GM has already homologated the Camaro for FIA GT3 and GT4. You will see some in Europe next year. I doubt if the would do it for GT1 or GT2, because they already have the best car available. However, it could easily be done. The car does meet all standards, but does not have the intense development behind it as the Corvette already does. Probably not a cost effective or image related move for this economic climate.

I thought GT3 and GT4 was the Z06.R and C6 GT4.

I can't help but pick up the "Xanavi" fire extinguisher, the NISMO wall in the garage.
This must be the Camaro GT-R!

Is'nt the corvette the big brother to the camaro? ...along with better aerodynamics etc etc etc..

Cool rendering, but I don't this car will ever see the light of day. They may put a version in GT3/4, but it will always stay a step below the Corvette.

And in other news, GT5 for the PS3 is delayed for an additional 3 months to include this car in the lineup...
