Woah... this one would be really fun to drive in a future Gran Turismo game... that '62 Buick Special was alright in a previous Gran Turismo game, but I'm definitely more looking forward to this car.

@JDM
History of the SOHC 427 aside, this specific motor is especially important and the car was pretty much built for this specific motor. This specific SOHC 427 was a "barn find" crate motor that was in it's original box from Ford, never installed and all original despite being over 30 years old. This car was buil to house this motor and the car itself with this motor is worth well over $200,000 according to Craig Morrison (part of the famous Art Morrison frame company) who built the frame for this car. You may also remember the Art Morrison Corvette that was in Grand Tourismo Prologue. The Morrisons have been building frames and suspensions for classic hot rods for 30 years and this Mustang and the GT Prologue Corvette are both their designs as well as the "Ferrarambler" that has been covered here from time to time. (The Classic Rambler sporting a mid engine Ferrari F360 Modena engine and suspension).
If all goes well, AutoStream may get to cover this car in an upcoming series with some celebrity drivers, and we're expecting it will give modern super cars a run for their money.
:-)
PS I own and drive a Nissan GT-R, so keep that in mind when you see all the praise I laud on the Morrison's ability to build super car handling into classic machines. This Mustang may even give my car a run for it's money. We'll see very soon!!!!

Wow, that is absolutely gorgeous! Finally a car truly worthy of containing one of the coolest engines ever made.

JDM, please tell me you've heard of the 427 SOHC.

History lesson time. There are few engines I can think of that had the potential to change the world, but were not really utilized. It was a Hemi-headed OHC monster that was built to take on the HEMI in NASCAR, but was outlawed.
I just learned alot I didn't know about it here:

Considering that you-all are journalist it would have been nice if you posted info about the car and took more PICS. Whats the purpose of going to SEMA if you dont take great pics of all angles of the car.

That is a awesome mustang. The 427SOHC was one of the best engines produced by ford.

The irony is that this car was actually built for a customer in Hong Kong...meaning it will probably spend most of its time in a garage or stuck in traffic. Sure hope the cooling system is up to snuff!

This car is just fantastic. I am loving every aspect of this car, but what pops out the most are the wheels. For some reason, probably my lack of creativity, I never thought about perhaps having wheels with steel finish on the hub, and a black finish on the lip. Looks so freakin' cool.

Nice. That's some real American muscle! The wheels are definitely really cool and stand out against the all blackness of it all.
