VIDEO: Best Drift Ever? Reverse-entry slide has JDM judges all aflutter
Reverse entry drift -- Click above to view the video after the jump
You know the famous soccer announcer (football to you internationals), Andrés Cantor, who screams "Goooooaaaallllll" after a score? A bit of performance genius has had some Japanese drift announcers overcome in similar ecstasy. When M. Kawabata launched his Nissan S13 (a 240 SX to us Yanks) into the corner, he threw the car around so quickly the rear end enters the turn first -- and then he kept it under control. It's being called "drifting history" and "the perfect drift" and "the best drift ever." Make the jump to see the vid and judge for yourself.

Yup. Next up is the Cobra Maneuver...
Fooman 2:29PM (10/26/2009)
@ tiger
Yup a cobra is next, but the amount of fail associated with that maneuver, both in the Mig 29 and F/A - 18 is very strong.

At first, I thought he pulled a 360 going into a corner when I read the post title. But this is just a cool. Looked like the driver had to look out the back quarter window for a second.

Ditto! This is like video game levels of drift right here.
And might I add that I love watching weird stunts performed in front of an excitable Japanese audience. They know how to get pumped up about crazy feats!

Judge Keiichi Tsuchiya knows a good drift when he sees one.

Still, my favorite drift was in the white C63. Damn does that engine have an amazingly beautiful sound while drifting.
Vision7 11:38AM (10/26/2009)
That was simply incredible.

At :38, I can't believe how relaxed and unhurried his body movements were. I would be freakin' out, with my arms and legs flying everywhere trying to control a move like that.
