SEMA Preview: The rest of the best from Ford and Lincoln
2009 Ford SEMA vehicles – Click above for image gallery
In addition to the slew of Mustangs that will be at the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas next week, Ford has well over a dozen more vehicles represented including perennial favorites like the Focus, Fusion, Flex and F-150, as well as newcomers like the Taurus SHO, Transit Connect and MKS.
Our personal faves include the Taurus "Best of SHO" by MRT-Direct that improves on the stock SHO with a subtle ground effects kit and vented hood, as well as adds performance improvements through tweaks of EcoBoost engine's turbocharging system and exhaust. Another cool newbie is the Transit Connect by Azentek and Grant Products that features a road-hugging body kit on the outside and a pull-out kitchen and upper bunk bed on the inside.
Our two favorites F-150s that will be on display at SEMA are the "Freedom Truck" that pays tribute to all those who have served in the U.S. armed forces with a patriotic paint job and the Super Duty DeWALT Contractor "Concept", the latter of which looks like a contractor's dream come true.
You can check out all the remaining SEMA vehicles from FoMoCo in the gallery below, complete with descriptions attached for each model.

Hm I'm digging most of them, except you really can't make the MKT look good that's impossible. Lincoln needs to take off the plastic cladding on the current MKS and MKT, it would look way classier. Good job I'm impressed by these!

That's what I thought. It is weird how good it looks. Last year's were all just feature vehicles as to what you could do with them. This time, it is more personal, not necessarily as a family vehicle, but as a bit of a canvas, like most cars need to be.

i saw the transit yesterday at the Tampa auto show. i was impressed with what i saw; it's one of those vehicles that isn't too big or small but just right. go Ford!

Wow, those are pretty hot, well most of them. The Lincoln MKS looks great, the Transit Connect actually looks nice, all the Tauruses look incredible, and the Fusion by Aaron Vaccar is drop-dead gorgeous, probably the best of the bunch. Great job to Ford. They got the best designs on these. Funny thing is, Ford Personal Customization, or whatever it is called, did worst on this and the Mustang. The DeWalt is kind of overdone and meh after doing it last year with the F150, but this seems to have a cooler purpose as the contractor's truck, probably featuring Ford Work Solutions technology at the hub. Ford is really going to shine at the SEMA. That Lincoln MKS, damn, that rear-end looks phenomenal, and even just a bumper fix. Mobsteel Taurus looks incredibly sharp.

That Fusion by AV just looks like a stock Fusion Sport with new wheels and some paint. How is that the best? I'll admit it looks nice, but so does the stock Fusion Sport. Unless understated is your thing...

Ford, throw the Flex Ecoboost wheels on the SHO. Seriously.

I lol'd
but joking aside I imagine their just teaser images from SEMA promoters, we'll have to wait till SEMA to see actually images unless the company release them themselves like the did with the IS-C

All of those SHOs are awesome, and I love that Transit. Daytons on a Flex look off though.

These concepts look fantastic, especially the Fusions and Tauruses. But the ones I found most impressive are the F-150 Freedom Truck and the giant Hot Wheels F-150. Well done, Ford!

And the ugly keep getting uglier.
Although it's nice to see what the SHOW would have looked like had it been done properly.

GM's new slogan: "At least we're not Toyonda!"
Brian 9:33PM (10/26/2009)
Yeah, you're right about that. GM isn't Toyota and Honda--Toyonda didn't go bankrupt and steal MY TAX MONEY from the government....
Farmboy 1:35AM (10/27/2009)
Yeah, they took it from the Japanese gov't.
