One of the greatest things about motorsports is that they look as good -- maybe even better -- in slow motion as they do at full speed. A YouTube user called Mattzel gathered a series of racing moments from last season, slowed them down and set them to music, and the result is short, but marvelous. Follow the jump to watch the vid.

Oh my god, I hate when they edit out the best parts..Why can't they just show a 10+ minute non-edited video.

I am sure there are plenty of great 10 min. non edited videos out there. This one is not intended to be this way.
My favorite moment is when the motorcycle is straighten up by the riders body motion. This is why I think motorcycles are so exciting to drive.

LOVED 1:22, it's like he is raising the bike along with the tempo of the music. Wow. The sparks coming off the F1 car were awesome too
I blame my parents for not getting me into motor sports (is 21 too late?) :( It's always been my dream to ride in victory waving my countries flag....damn, next life hopefully

Good stuff. My favorite clip is that of that Toro Rosso F1 car drifting off that turn, full opposite lock. Epic stuff indeed.

There's no 10 minute footage because most of these shots are isolated cameras on the race track. The normal footage can't be slowed down to this detail.

Exactly These are high speed cameras, nothing has been "slowed down" sorry AB.
The music was too much IMO. It's an amazing, jaw-dropping spectacle but it's not as dramatic as the soundtrack is. Good clips but honestly, I would rather watch the entire shot that was originally broadcast rather than this cutty montage. It's much more awe inspiring. The Isle of Man TT high speed footage... Oh my goodness.

That has the full shots of some of these clips. Seeing the tires compress and bulge, the transfer of weight, and the movement of the suspension are all things you don't really have time to absorb on something this quickly edited with the flashes and whatnot. These are the things our eye can't pickup in real time, so I'd rather spend the time to take them in. Thats the whole point of these high speed shots isn't it?
And yes, the music is worse in the original broadcast.

During the coverage of the TT they kept showing shots like this where the bikes were bottoming out (2:00 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRpHJlaG_-U), I loved it. There are more slow-mo flames at 2:45 in the same vid :)

I am mad at my parents because they didn't take me carting when I was a kid, best place to start a motosport career... now its too late... and i dont want to be a dad that tries to realize his own dreams through his child... :(
