Driving is dangerous. We know that, yet the vast majority of us seem willing to take the risks inherent with strapping ourselves inside a two-ton projectile to share the road with other human-piloted objects of mass destruction. With all of these behemoth chunks of metal flying around at high rates of speed, it's not all that surprising that merely walking can also prove to be life threatening from time to time.

So, to sum it all up succinctly, living life can be hazardous to your health. Video evidence can be seen in the five near-miss videos pasted after the break. Amazingly, nobody was seriously hurt in any of these instances.

Our baby boy was born just 3-months ago... and I cringed seeing that baby stroller fall down on the tracks and into a moving train. Scary...

I know, just imagine seeing that in person! Even watching that stroller video knowing that the baby was okay, this image still makes you just a little sick in the pit of your stomach. How amazingly lucky that the carriage fell dead center between the tracks... I bet that mother will never let her carriage get more than a couple INCHES from her ever again.
Damnit Autoblog, now you have me searching every near-miss video on YouTube. I have work to do!

Man runs right across the street as a bus losses it brakes and slams into the back of a car, it looks to me like an accident was going to happen one way or another. I don't think being one minute later to wait for the light to change or to check both ways before crossing on his way to wherever he was going is too much to ask to not be a third casualty.
The person driving the car in the 4th video needs to have their license REVOKED.

Vid.2: Observation. Is it just me, or the station platform is inclined TOWARDS the tracks? Cause that's some crappy engineering...precisely because of incidents like these can happen.
Vid.3: I'm confused. Why do they say the mayor was nearly hit? I didn't see him until after the tangle.
Vid.4: This was pretty cringe inducing. Is jaywalking a felony in Aussieland?LOL! But the real question is, what the hell were the track crew doing??? Aren't they supposed to watch for this to keep animals out of the perimeter?
