We've always been dog people. It's not so much that there's something wrong with cats, it's just that we can do more with our dogs... like teach them tricks, take them to the beach and play fetch. Apparently, Volkswagen of Argentina is full of dog people too. Well, dogfish people, at least.
Just like with their furry companions, it seems that dogfishes are so much more interesting and fun than catfish. We don't know of anyone that keeps a catfish as a pet, and even if they did, catfish don't like to go on walks or for car rides. Heck, catfish don't even want to get out of the water. Dogfishes do all of these things. What do they have to do with cars? We have no idea. I´m pretty sure this is a brasilian ad. The car may be made in Argentina, but the whole idea and the target public are in Brazil (the tv version that aired a few time ago had some narration as well)

It is a brazilian commercial, it is old and I can't find a single funny bit in this thing...
The dog in the end was much cutter then that Pokemon.

"anything you imagine" is the tagline, meaning a utility car like that can let you access your dreams. the dog dreams of being a fish. he 'becomes' a fish when he's taken to the beach in the VW. the dude can be a beach guy though he doesn't live there.
you can use the car to do anything you imagine.

This ad in the original brazilian version had a narration that makes the sense of humor, that version with the music is bore and lost the aim of the ad.
About the car, another piece of crap too expensive for what it offer.
