China building drive-in car museum?
As much as we like our drive-in movies and drive-through restaurants, could there be anything more appropriate than a drive-in car museum? We think not. Unfortunately, such an obvious and awesome thing isn't on its way to America.
Instead, China, a relatively new player on the world transportation scene, is the country planning to erect a drive-in car museum, meaning most of us will probably never get the chance to visit. Ah well, at least the design is thoughtful and innovative. Francesco Gatti, chief architect at design firm 3GATTI in Italy, is responsible for the unique shape of the museum, which allows drivers to climb to the top in their cars and then walk back down via an inner spiral ramp. It seems the structure can be replicated in origami... and now we have a project for the rest of the day.

What a bunch of idiots. They should take care of their horrendous environmental issues before they build a freaking car museum.
I don't think they realize what a bad decision they are making by industrializing themselves the way Western countries have done so terribly.

because..... Western countries are complete failures having the worst standards of living in the world, the poorest and hungriest people, the weakest economies, no hope or opportunity, ....?????

I don't know.. you can't say western countries are better. They've had their game for the past 100 years or so and still consume most of the world's resources, especially the US. Considering the population, China is using much less resource per person than the US.
FYI, if you are worried about global warming, eat less meat, that's the easiest way you can go about.

Maybe you should be the one driving your car off the side of the museum, then maybe the economy of many countries, including the USA, will start to improve.

I'm not exactly sure why it being in China means Americans can't visit...it's easy to get a visa to go visit China, and we have invented planes after all so you'll likely survive the voyage.

This is what the communism with free market does. They don't care how many civilian suffer in environment issue. They just want to attract the foreigners. One day they will realize by themselves, we don't have to worry about that.

That's all you can say because people can do n.th to that country, except their government. sorry buddy,but Asian countries are almost in the same patch. I'm an Asian too, at least I'm half chinese.

Well by your name and spelling, I can tell you're probably someone who doesn't want to be taken seriously, but that is besides the point. If you are talking about the unequal distribution of wealth in China, I'm right there with you but that was not my point at all. And yes, I grew up as a poor kid in the rural parts so I'm speaking from experience. Yea, the government is corrupt, but where is it not? Really, the thing countries like China need most right now is a strong middle class, and such a movement comes from foreign investments in projects like this one. And what's with all the Asian countries being in the same patch? Japan and S. Korea are every bit as industrialized as the US and have far fewer environmental concerns. Take a stroll down LA and Tokyo and tell me which one is cleaner.
If you really are passionate about the issue, thats really good for you. If you want to see change however, join an organization that supports your cause instead of posting here where you are just going to get downvoted and desensitize the issue.

That looks awesome, but will ultimately depend on what kinds of cars they plan to stock it with. Iconic Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mercedes-Benzes, Porsches, etc would be awesome. Iconic Geelys, Cherys, Changfengs, and Dadis... no thanks.
