Porsche supercar design by Emil Baddal – Click above for high-res image gallery

With the 911 looking largely the same for the past 46 years, the Cayenne looking the way that it does, and the new Panamera greeted with mixed reviews (at best), it should come as no surprise that there are others interested in taking a crack at designing the next Porsche. Especially since the next one down the wind tunnel could very well be a roadgoing supercar based on the RS Spyder prototype racer to succeed the Carrera GT... one of the best Porsche design in decades.

What you see here is the vision of Iranian designer Emil Baddal, who appears to have blended some unmistakable Zuffenhausen DNA with a sort of Veyron-esque profile. Which isn't so far fetched when you consider that Porsche and Bugatti now fall under the same umbrella. Baddal hasn't issued any theoretical powertrain specifications to go with his design, so we'll just have to imagine them on our own. Have a look in the gallery, follow the link to Baddal's other designs, and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

I usually don't like this sort of rendering, but this is brilliant. Porsche, future, sensible, visionary... well done!

I'm pretty sure there will be at least one tuner out there that will chop up the Panamera and make a "928" look a like lol....

Yeah...I like it, but that's just not a Porsche.

Pfft, the next Porsche will look exactly the same as the last one.

Looks pretty good, but the interior seems tiny.

I meant because of the low roof line.

Wait, what? The same rather unique post was posted at the same time from two different user names - I smell shenanigans.

How can you know what the interior looks like? In other news, I think the design looks very sexy and I am proud that a fellow Persian designed this as I am also Persian.

        GREAT JOB!

Looks really good, but I'd want just a tad more headroom, and maybe bring the sides of the doors down a little so you can see apexes better.

True sign of the takeover being complete... a Porsche that looks like a Volkswagen. Honestly i thought it was the new R at first.

      GRR!

I am not a big fan of renders but they are pretty cool to look at.

It does look nice, but at first glance it looks Italian, not German

      Erm. Porrarhini?

        I was just thinking.

        INTRODUCING THE PORCHEGHINI!

Yeah, add in some Ferrari soapbar blandness too.
