Episode #149 of the Autoblog Podcast, the first frost edition, has arrived. The Tokyo Motor Show is coming up, and there have been a couple previews of what to expect there. The Toyota FT-86 concept has had everyone abuzz with its heralding as the spiritual successor of the much-beloved AE86 of the 1980s. Also building excitement for Tokyo is Subaru's Hybrid Tourer concept. Moving on from Asia, we touch on Lancias being rebadged as Chryslers before wrapping up with Chrysler and Fiat's collaboration on an electric car. Very last, we hit up some questions before calling it a night and going to sleep off our ailments. You guys missed the obvious contender to the ZR1, the GT-R! Warm that over with the price differential and I think it would easily beat out the ZR1.

Also, can you guys please explain the Tesla hate? I don't get it. Everyone seems to root for their failure.

Enjoyed the podcast as I did my workout along the beach this morning. Oh, sorry, I'm guessing it's cold up north. Anyway, I think Chrysler should take the Lancia Delta, remove the Lancia badges, slap a Chrysler logo on it, use the Delta name and just sell it. What do they have to lose? I'll never buy another Chrylser based on my horrible experience with my POS Durango, but I do hope they can survive if anything so folks in Michigan can work (I realize no US folks will be employed by the manufacture of a Delta, but some cash flow will help).
You guys do a terrific podcast. You are so real. I listen to other podcasts where they sound like they're East Coast snobs (that's you GDGT guys!) who don't have a clue about what normal people live like. Keep up the great work. I look forward to the next podcast.
