VIDEO: Year Over Year: 2010 Range Rover Sport destroys 2009 model in 0-100-0 dash

The 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged is hugely improved over the old model – and we were fans of the old model. When we drove the normally aspirated model in 2008, we dug it except for the idiosyncratic interior. The 2010 Supercharged model not only features a redesigned cabin, but 517 horsepower and a new set of six-piston brakes up front to be sidekick. That's 127 horsepower more than the outgoing model. Add that to a 51 lb-ft torque surplus over the 2009 and you've got an SUV that goes faster and stops quicker.
It's such a big improvement that the 2010 model gets from zero to 100 mph and back to zero before the 2009 model gets to... well, you'll just have to follow the jump to see the video and find out.

Actually Zach, I would love to own this truck. It's always been my favourite and it always will.

Soccer moms are salivating all over this SUV.

Most soccer moms probably wouldn't even know what to do with all that power (cover eyes, scream, hit tree/parked car etc?) I'm thinking they'd be satisfied with a base 140 horse V-6......I'M salivating over it. Soccer moms...nah.

hopefully they fix the lemon problems. but the Sport has always been my favorite!

No kidding...if they could just sort out that reliability, I'd love these cars. They look sharp and they're fun to drive. It's just tough to love a car when you have to take it to the dealer once a month for another mechanical problem.

That was indeed an impressive display but...
will it blend?

My ideal garage consists of a black M5 and a black range rover sport. You know... For the winter and sh*t

I'd rather have a dark blue XFR and a dark blue RR Sport. I'll stick with Tata. Perhaps even a Tata Nano to get me from my living room to my kitchen.

I'd be more than a little bit pissy if i'd bought an '09. But, if I had that kind of $$$ to waste, upgrading to a '10 would not be an issue either.

I am highly likely to get the new full size RR supercharged.
The improvements with the engine and the new interior and features such as the surround camera and rear reclining seats finally make the price justifiable and much cheaper when compared to a Cayenne Turbo or Turbo S.
The RR ride is great and it is just a super comfortable vehicle.

Wow, the new interior is really nice. Was the HSE's powertrain upgraded at all?
I test drove one of these back in 2007 and was pretty dissapointed with the performance and the feel of the interior.

its getting the N/A 5 liter V8 that makes 385
as opposed to the old 4.2 that made 300

19" brake rotors? I think not.
I'm pretty sure the HSE gets the N/A version of the new Jag 5.0, but I could be wrong....
