Happy Xmas: Jaguar XJL Supercharged Neiman Marcus Edition
Jaguar XJL Supercharged Neiman Marcus Edition – Click above for high-res image gallery
What with the advent of the world wide web, few of us do our Christmas shopping in catalogs anymore. That probably won't stop Neiman Marcus from selling out of all 50 examples of the limited edition 2010 Jaguar XJL Supercharged Neiman Marcus Edition that will appear in its Christmas Book this season. Neiman Marcus offers a limited edition vehicle in its Christmas Book every year, and this will be third time a Jaguar has been offered.
This special version of the new XJ will feature an exclusive Celestial Black paint job with 20-inch double-10 spoke wheels. Other than a special nameplate inscribed with "Neiman Marcus 1 of 50", the yuletide Jag will be just like any other XJ with a supercharged version of the brand's new 5.0-liter V8 producing 470 horsepower. The XJ itself, meanwhile, goes on sale the normal way in the U.S. in early 2010. If you've got a hankering for one of the first, call 1-866-524-6963 on Friday, October 16 at noon EST to place your order. Gift wrapping not included.

I wonder how much more it's going to cost for a paint job, new rims and a license plate. The celestial paint looks amazing but if NM is going to add a few k's to the sticker price, I really don't think it's worth it.
But I'm not rich enough to buy this anyway. Though if I was, I'm sure I'd be rich enough to get a custom paint job and new rims for a lot cheaper than buying it from NM. I'd even make the paint job look like that space background behind the XJ.
The XJ is a work of art.

I think you meant: "Merry CHRISTmas"

Who's Christ? Is he the adult version of Santa Claus?

In Greek, Christ is spelled χριστωϛ--that's chi-rho-iota-sigma-tau-omega-sigma. The X in X-Mas follows an old Christian tradition of symbolizing Christ with the chi, which as you can see (if you have Unicode support) is shaped like...guess what...the cross!
But please, stop. Just stop. Speaking as a Christian, you are embarrassing me.

miguel... a true christian wouldnt go out of his way to try and make another christian feel stupid... but someone trying to mock christianity probably would. not to mention when you see 'X-mas' at your local JC-Penny or Sears this Christmas it in no was symbolizes their intent to honor the birth of Christ utlizing Greek... or let me guess.. now you'll go on a rant about how December 25th is not actually Christ's birthday or how the pagans worshiped trees during this time and thats why we have christmas trees....
as a true Christian you would be offended by ANY attempt by anyone voiding out the name of Christ (when you know very well it is an intentional way of omitting Christs name... just ask the ACLU).

C.W.,
A true Christian doesn't obnoxiously flaunt his religion to seem as holy as CHRIST himself. i'm embarrassed too
C.W. 8:43AM (10/07/2009)
there's a big difference between flaunting and just taking pride and not being ashamed in a belief. i have no shame in saying merry christmas. that was the only statement i made. if you notice other commentors, i'm not the only one who says it should be christmas.
tell me how that's 'flaunting' anything? or claiming to be 'holy'? ...

Wonder why they chose the XJL with the 470HP supercharged engine over the SuperSport with 510HP?

You'd think for that additional mark-up someone would fix those tail lights and paint in the C-pillar with the same colour as the body. Callum must have wanted to avoid any resemblance to the Audi franchise's roofline though that problem can't be helped as they probably had a hand in the XJ's conception seeing as how they both have similar aluminum space frame technology. Due to the gargantuan opening of a grille and other quibbles, the XJ may have overshot the mark and the XF remains the looker of the two despite its status in the line up.

Another overpriced Neiman Marcus rip off edition of a car.
Have any of these Neiman Marcus cars ever been proven to be more valuable in resale than a regular version of the car?
