VIDEO: People get all jumpy when it comes to their new BMWs
Question for BMW owners: Have you ever been so excited about your Bavarian beauty that you went all Tom Wopat and dove into the driver seat without opening the door? We've been in quite a few Bimmers ourselves, and while the driving experience is usually pretty damn good, we've always just opened the door.
After the jump, a new commercial gets creative by showing BMW owners of all walks of life getting physical with their German wheels. If a Golden Girl jumping through the X5's moonroof and a guy leaping off a roof into a 1 Series makes you want to perform stupid stunts with your BMW, please reconsider, and if you still must, kindly make sure to have cameras rolling. We're sure Tom Bergeron is anxiously awaiting your video.

Is it me or did the freeze frame suggest something else was going to happen?

The best one was the guy on the bicycle who shot himself into the back of his GT lol!
To answer your question AB, I've never done that! But I do get pretty excited when I drive my car (88 e30 325is) Best damn car I've ever owned and have no plans to get something new.

The guy on the bike was epic. And the 3 Series one...I would have busted my head on that door on the first take.
-But whats wrong with just opening the door?

Opening the door is too slow! You gotta do it Nascar style... on a BMW!
That 1er landing looked like it hurt, though. For sure!

of course the 5 gt driver chose the most idiotic, brain-damage causing way to dive into the car.
the unseen x6 driver has to wear a helmet 24/7.

That's gotta be one of the stupidest commercials I've ever watched...

This is a really lame ad, especially for BMW. Their "Story of Joy" ad was much more refined and tasteful.

Stupid. Just get in the car. I'm pretty sure nobody needed to stretch that much either.

If they're spending so much time stretching, why can't they just open the doors to their cars?
Such a stupid commercial...

They've certainly captured their market, old lady who's always had them bought for her, young career couple who think the badge gives them status and 2 older business men who probably think the badge helps them pick-up (especially the one with the convertable).
I wouldn't drive a BMW if I was given one, I'd sell it and buy something else. The main reason for this being, I don't know about in America but here in Australia most European imports are about 5 times more expensive to service!
example: fuel pump (both bosch as most car compaines use bosch these days) local car part & labour ~$150, Import ~$600-1000. I seriously know someone who paid over $1000 for a new fuel pump (ok so there was a minor service included, but STILL!)

Oh it's the same story in north america. Set of six spark plug wires for a V6 Malibu? $50. Set of six spark plug wires for a VW Passat? $400.
Insanity.

Is this real? The supposedly German number plate is sooo fake, wrong font and just not right.

The jumping was cool, the stretching was lame. The idea should have been that they were so exited to drive that they jumped in on impulse.

"exited" is the new "excited", just in case you haven't been keeping up.
