Top Gear posse spotted filming with bevy of exotics in Romania

The Top Gear crew is preparing the show's 14th season and they've gone to the home of Vlad the Impaler for some help. Piloting a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder, Aston Martin DBS Volante, and Ferrari California, the production closed down the Transfagarasan Road that climbs over Romania's Carpathian Mountains.
And as if the road itself, the area's scenery, and connection to Dracula weren't enough, it is said that the Transfagarasan has more tunnels and viaducts than any other road in Romania. It should make this particular TG episode a pump-up-the-volume affair.
Naturally, there are TG side stories to go with the news. When they weren't driving -- and putting scratches on the Gallardo and DBS -- they were drinking local "nectar" and relieving themselves in the woods. Ah, Top Gear, bring on season #14.

I wish someone would close down a road like this for me - even if just for an hour of driving my friend's Mazdaspeed 3.

The roads there are practically closed. while going to see some property my father just bought in the area (sometime before 2007), I had my stepmothers X5 4.6. Not the most ideal car for carving through the mountains through, but it did the job. the roads were clear and actually very well maintained. the view was so beautiful, that you might actually consider slowing down to really take in everything (thats what the drive back is for, right?). If you want to know what it looks like, watch the GT3-RS/ Lambo Superlaggera/ Some Aston episode, the beginning part where its just two lanes, one each way, where your surrounded by trees, and it opens up either to a cliff edge or a lake.
For sure, it was the best drive in my life, and I hope Top Gear shows it in all its glory.

You didn't have any trucks taking the racing line coming the other way? I had a couple when I drove the start of it after checking out the ruins of Vlad's castle.
Nearly went off a few times between the trucks, driving on the other side of the road, and trying to take photos of the scenery as I went along. A fantastic road, just wish I was in something with more poke than a Focus when I did it

Jeremy is a big lambo lover, so I'd go for him in there (surely James couldn't bare being in a lambo). So the Ferrari/Aston goes between James/Hammond.
I'd probably put James in the Aston and Richard in the Ferrari.

Shouldn't that be '14th season'?

James? In a lambo? Something's wrong here

Looking at that picture, the Ferrari just...isn't pretty enough. In a coupe, that's fine, because it will drive epicly. But if you want a convertible, looks are much more important, and both the Lambo and the Aston destroy the Ferrari in this case.

I'm sure they switched through the cars, sharing them and what not.

That's what Finalgear.com is for, getting the episodes right away. It's not like the BBC cares. I was at the Top Gear US pilot and whatever his name was, some head guy from the BBC, asked if anyone from Finalgear.com was there. After a few people raised their hands he basically pointed out that the BBC doesn't care if people in the United States download the episodes.

Or you could go to streetfire and watch it streaming, no downloading no nothing. They come out on streetfire the day after the episode airs in the UK. Finalgear is wack...
