Forza 3 celebrates the Ferraris in our lives, joins GT5 in celebration of the 458 Italia
Ferrari love in Forza Motorsport 3 -- Click above for high-res image gallery
There are 29 Ferraris in Forza Motorsport 3, from the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO to today's 599 GTB. And just for good measure, the kind folks at Forza threw in a few dream(ier) rides, including modern FIA GT cars, as well as the F40 and F50 Competizione models. You want more? Done. You'll be able to download the all-new Ferrari 458 Italia just in time for the holidays.
Ah, but what if you don't have an XBox? If you're one of the scores of devoted Gran Turismo fans, you won't be left out in the cold. Polyphony Digital is also including the brand new Fezza in GT5, and in an apparent game of one-upmanship, the GT camp and the Forza family have released their own Ferrari teasers. Check out all three videos after the jump and get another eye-full in the Forza gallery below.

I had decided to wait until GT5 or God Of War III were on the immediate horizon before I got the PS3... they're the only games I play with any frequency. Looks like it'll work out just fine, since they should both be out pretty soon, and the PS3 just got cheap.

The Ferrari is nice, but GT5 has Nascar! I bet the Nascar portion is awesome because it delayed the extremely tardy game even more.
Haha, seriously though, who needs a stock car that only goes in circles when you got a super sexy Pagani Zonda or a road melting Koenigsegg tearing up the Nürburgring with scorching-hot tires screaming at the edge of traction?
I could never get in the GT series, especially with the GT3 A-spec where half the game involves you giving the computer player your race car to do the whole marathon of a race and then turning off the t.v. and coming back a couple of hours later to see if you won or not.
Shouldn't racing games let the human player have all the fun instead of spectating?

Uhh, speak for yourself.
who -doesn't- want to race a Koenigsegg -alongside- a stock car in Nürburgring? I'm pretty sure I want to find out myself how fast a (video game) NASCAR stock car goes around the ring compared to other cars in the game, like an F1 racer, an LMP Audi or a stock Enzo/FXX (if they have FXX, I'm sure they will). Forza sure wouldn't do that, and every other NASCAR game (EA) sucks hardcore.
Also, you're complaining about the 24-hour races in GT3:A; which accounts for maybe... 1% of all GT3. And it's completely optional as well.

@ Azael
The feature you're talking about is in GT4, not 3.
And the B-spec mode is not obligatory, you do it if you want to act as the team principal.

@ Wooties
Actually, a stock car versus a Koenigsegg around the Nürburgring does sound really fun, although I imagine the stock car will fall behind after taking right turn for the first time ever. The car might just explode in full HD glory from the sheer confusion.
@ The Hit
Yes, you're right it was GT4 that had B-spec.

I have to get both, both vids are awesome.

The GT video is just jaw dropping. I'll get both, because I'm a huge sim racing whore, but you can't go wrong either way here.

I have both systems and I am going to get both games. In the vids the GT5 looks a little better, but still no release date. Forza is only about a month away. I can't wait!

i think its because the gt5's cars had a shinier finish, but both games showed a lot of detail, i want both!

There is a possible release date.

Nobody should be celebrating the 458

I am celebrating it just because it is not the 430.
The Hit 10:14PM (9/22/2009)
Amen.
It's the ugliest thing out of the scuderia yet.
Harrison 1:33AM (9/23/2009)
Like Susan Boyle, it's not a looker. But damn, can it sing!
Benfolio 9:01PM (9/22/2009)

I was wondering when the "fanboys" were going to chime in.
I am getting both games, because they will both be great. GT5 will look good, and FM3 will play good. Best of both worlds!
Trent 9:36PM (9/22/2009)
You DO realize that 80% of the GT trailer was RENDERED don't you?
Listen, i LOVE GT. But to be perfectly honest, the portions of that GT video that were actually game play looked no better than Forza.
The Hit 10:14PM (9/22/2009)
I'm pretty sure they're both 100% rendered.
