Episode #146 of the Autoblog Podcast puts Chris, Sam, and Dan in fast company, talking to Corvette racer Johnny O'Connell. Johnny's heading out to run the Petit LeMans, but he took some time to chat with us first. Once the crew settles down about apexes and back straights, we head off into a couple of topical discussions. Jay Leno's two-lap challenge starts us off, and GM's new "May the Best Car Win" ads get our attention next, and then we move on to Nissan's settling of the class-action lawsuit over GT-R transmissions. I am about ready to head to bed. And the Autoblog Podcast is my preferred sleep assistant. Not on iTunes yet. (sigh) looks like I'll be up all night without Jeremy's whining. :)

Be creative folks...I little iTunes glitch shouldn't prevent you from listening! Just download the audio file from Autoblog and import it into iTunes. Viola!

This dude is annoying. He's answering questions like he's doing a quick track-side interview where word count trumps a thought out, meaningful, answer.

Well I'll just add that I love the show and I did enjoy this show (although I have to agree with Lucas as some parts of the conversation with Mr. O'Connell sounded like scripted GM pullet points... I guess he has to earn his keep).
BTW past few eps I keep hearing someone typing at the keyboard... might want to keep the mic away from it :)
As usual though, good job guys. Some might complain but they forget that they AREN'T paying for it. Sheeeesh! Not to mention you're doing this for free (with no budget i guess).
PS NASCAR sucks lol

Thanks for letting me know I wasn't off base regarding Mr. O'Connell.
With regard to criticism though: you can't illicit comments like the boys do, as hard as they do, and then not expect some criticism. We all love the podcast, so any negitive comments are meant to be consturctive. ...like the typing thing and the obviously-not-paying-attention "uh huh" answers that accompany it. :-)

The comment about the critics weren't really pointed towards you Lucas, but more to the general public. I've seen comments in the past which irked me.
The podcast has atleast been published on a regular basis now and that's all I can ask for really (I remember listening to the show more then a year ago --maybe two-- and it was off and on and they could never get themselves organized).

Just listened to the podcast. Good job this week as always, just wanted to give a little correction: A C32 AMG is not a mid 90's car, it's like ~2002-2005 and is a 3.2L supercharged engine with 349 HP. Just FYI

Yeah guys you dropped the ball on the C320 AMG. It kinda did not make sense to compare a mid 90's car with a slew of early to mid 2000's.

Just getting around to listening, why all the hate on 55 year old "white guys." I plan on being one some day and if this podcast still exists I don't want to feel hated when I listen. I guess since it's politically correct to hate on old white men you feel safe doing it.
