Another show, another pair of special editions from Lotus. This time around it's the Elise Club Racer and the Exige Cup 260, two lightweight specials based on the company's core product range.
We brought you details and photos of both a few weeks ago in the ramp-up to the show, but stopped by to have a closer look at the pair while we were there checking out the race-spec Evora. Check 'em both out in the high-res image gallery below.

Saw an Elise on my way to work this morning... pretty sick ride! There are officially 4 in my town: black, blue, red and now a yellow one... amazing little car.
Now to my point... are there more versions of these than Mustangs now?

More versions, probably... but I wager that the total number built is still less than just about any single version of the stang.

The race-spec Evora only needs two things... and you'll see the relevance to why I mention Evora...
a carbon-fiber clear-coated roof panel
the front end from that Exige Cup 260. The three intake look, with the slightly squared up sides... looks great, and would look fantastic with the Evora's more angular headlights, and look better than the stock evora's front air dam.

I love Lotus, and wow, that Orange one is so hot! Looks like it designed and built for the track. True Lotus spirit.

These new Lotuses are the best sports cars on the road. Cayman is probably better in many ways but the true nature of a sports car is small and light. Mind you I am talking sports car - not "super car", not GT, not exotic.
The exterior accoutrements on these 2 cup cars are a bit too busy for my tastes though.
