Spy Shots: Marussia B2, is that you?
Marussia B2 -- Click above for image gallery
Marussia released two teasers of its new car, the not-so imaginatively-named B2, last week. What the company neglected to do before that was cover up its cars while they were being transported through Moscow. Someone took pictures of them, apparently not even knowing what they were (the blue one is likely the B2, while the red and white number looks like a garden-variety B1).
The source of the photos wrote, "They say the drivers are being commanded not to stop by any means, especially when not in Moscow." Somebody should have told the drivers to cover up. Or get an enclosed trailer. You can check out pics of the Marussia B1 and B2 in the gallery below. Hat tip to Filipp!

B1 looks good.
B2 looks like they stole the cockpit off of a Mi-28 combat helicopter. I guess its designed for mafia types and needs to withstand impacts from 0.50-caliber machine guns.

Well done to the person who took the pictures!
The B2 is far better-looking, in my opinion. Nice one, Russia!

you do understand that the B2 is the dark blue car and that the other two cars are the B1?
Josh 12:49PM (9/16/2009)
Yes. I am aware. Of the two models, I think the B2 is more attractive.

You spend millions engineering a car, only to skimp on a $50 car cover. FAIL!

Something tells me that if you REALLY wanted to keep these cars under wraps you could have dropped a few bucks for a tarp or two... Seems like another "Accidental" mistake car manufactures seem to be doing these days to gain hype on a car that is SUPPOSED to be a secret no? If nothing more I wonder what the insurance is for the hauling company? Im just saying, struting around two cars like that to the world around you opens up a whole heap of possibilities for things to go wrong.

Seems like a publicity stunt to me too.

yeah... who loads two cars on the top of a trailer? They wanted them to be seen.
dukeisduke 11:20AM (9/14/2009)
The B2 looks like a kit car, especially looking at the window trim. And who's to say this will be any more reliable than the average Volga?

I see a lot of Mantide in the design.

I want to see pieces fall off that Russian junk at 90+ MPH . . .
If there's one thing we know about Russian vehicles its reliability! Yay!
