Respect Your Elders: Suzuki's Kizashi concepts spotted stacked and awaiting crusher?
Old concepts don't die, they just get thrown in a heap and stacked atop one another in some dank lot out back. Actually, we don't know where the lot is located, but we do know it appears to be holding the Suzuki Kizashi, Kizashi 2, and Kizashi 3 – important concepts that the Japanese automaker unveiled over the past two years.
We hope these aren't the final show car versions. If so, we would have thought that the car that led to the production Kizashi – a big deal for Suzuki – would have been accorded a better spot in the afterlife, like maybe a place in a museum. Or, hell, at least an auction house listing. But that's the great circle of life for you. Tip your 40 to the Kizashis that once were...

that is surprising to me also, those concepts are beautiful especially 2, and 3.
Im still a little disappointed that the production version is so washed down.

maybe it is for them but not for typical automakers, audi displays theirs proudly at their hq

they are made of wood and clay. The clay is covered with plastic then painted. They fall apart pretty quickly after you move them around a few times. Its normal for them to be destroyed like this, but they usually dont do it in public. Heres how they are made:

These just look like styling mock ups to me. It appears that they are made out of balsa wood, cardboard, possibly fiberglass, and held together with what appears to be tape. Maybe they are the real concepts, Suzuki may have built the concept show cars out of said materials, but I do hope I am right in thinking that they are just styling mock ups.

Ditto on the mock-up...the red "manga" Kizashi 1 grille area "cardboard" facade is a dead giveaway.

I would have a screaming good time at an auto museum that housed concept cars on loan from various manufacturers. I can't say that I would go out of my way to any museum (except for the Porsche Museum) that housed that concepts and historical models of just one make.

they dont look at all like show ready cars... they just look like scrap... so why is this even a story?
anyway... I'd take the 1 or 3 concept. those things are bad! wish Suzuki would have stayed with one or both of those styles.
