Steeda gets all tweaky with Ford's Edge

If you need more edge – and speed – for your Ford Edge, Steeda could have the package for you. Called the Steeda Edge Sport, it is claimed to be "the perfect answer to those that want to have it all." And by "all," the tuner apparently means an eight-piece body kit, brushed-look interior trim and cross-stitching on custom leather, smoked head- and taillight trim, and 22-inch polished aluminum wheels.
Under those double-dubs lurk Brembo's six-piston Big Brake kit, and under the rear bumper you'll find a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust and a Steeda custom trailer hitch cover. Steeda has yet to release any power figures, but there figures to be a bump of some sort considering that under the hood resides a cold-air intake and cool-tube, a new throttle-body spacer, and an ECU tune. You can read the rest of the details in the press release after the jump.

I just want to know how they fit anything new under that hood -- it's cramped in there!

I just can't shake the impression that the Edge's front-end always reminds me of the Aerostar...

Luv my Edge.
But, man, the road noise those 22's must transmit.....

Release this bad boy in the UK, thanks. Don't get how the engine doesn't overheat without a proper grill.

Many modern cars achieve most of the air for cooling through the front airdam, with the grille between the lights merely for show... and maybe for *some* small amounts of airflow, too.
RED_ 5:10PM (8/27/2009)
didn't even notice the airdam, guess it doesn't have to be that big these days.

Standard Edge grill, just color-coordinated in lieu of chrome...

Someone thought there was a demand for this? Why?
Nothing wrong with it, but again, Why?

There is always a market for something.
I would just get an Edge Sport, throw on the brakes and engine upgrades and call it a day...

I'm sure I'm not the only one that had no idea what "Cool Tube Technology" meant. I figured with a fancy name like that it must be something big. Maybe they're using the AC system to cool down a charge of air for quick bursts of power or something, right? Well, I looked it up. No. It is not impressive or innovative in any way. The intake has some insulation on it. That's it.
I hate marketers.

The Ford Edge is one of the best looking SUV's out there IMO.

This looks good, but the base Edge is beyond fugly and is no where near the best looking suv ever made.......................IMO.

I think the decal/painting of the 3-bar grill actually looks quite good. Maybe this should be a dealer option. A gun-metal or matte black would look great with a lot of the colors.

It also looks great on the Escape, surprisingly. Really reduces blinding from sun's reflection.

I can't wait till the Edge gets the 3.5 EcoBoost...but I still haven't figured out how to explain to my wife that we need to trade the MDX for it.....

You don't have long to wait, so better get working on that story...

Wow, the Edge grille looks much better painted, and the wide stripe effect is nice. Other than the moronic Steeda graphics across the windshield, that looks very cool.

The grille being color to part of the car reminds me of a custom Ford Escape at Pearson Ford. That Edge looks incredible. Hats off to Steeda.

chrome is a personal taste. I hate the 3 bar chrome grill. I think it looks much better in the black chrome. Now, if they could make those wheels gun metal gray, i would be sold.
