More Forza Motorsport 3 screen shots and new video, just because

While we don't have much interest in what's going on at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this week, we do appreciate that it's cause enough for Turn 10 Studios to release 25 new screen shots and a video from the upcoming Forza Motorsport 3 video game. There's not really a theme to the cars featured – they range from a 1993 Ford SVT Cobra R to the 2008 Lamborghini Reventon – but we could really care less. It mostly just makes us want to put Forza 2 back in the XBox to try and whittle down some lap times and mess with suspension tuning in preparation for when F3 hits stores in October. the cars looks very plastic though, which is a shame...

Gran Turismo 2 had a Taurus SHO. I think it was a gen 2.

FINALLY someone put a fox body mustang in their game ...i always had to go buy them cheap Ford Racing games to play my car ... but I cant wait till this comes out now ...

The screenshots are very plastic looking. Forza never looked real enough, almost like the uncanny valley for car renderings.
The models also look like they have very low poly counts with an advanced shader to render reflections in order to make up for it.
and what the hell is up with that A4?

As a 3D modeler, I think you're wrong about the poly count. Please take a look at the rim of the wheels of the R33 (still image) - you can clearly see how many polygons have been used.
About the A4, google DTM.

It's a DTM car. It's not really a touring car. Well, it's as much a touring car as a NASCAR is a stock car.
I imagine they just called it an "A4 touring car" because they don't have the license to use the DTM name.
