VIDEO: Jay Leno promotes new show, damages 1970 Challenger
Jay Leno and friend – Click above to after the jump
Ha ha ha! Jay Leno likes cars and has a new show on NBC this fall, which, while not focused on cars, will have something to do with cars now and then. In fact, Jay went ahead and cut a trailer for his new show featuring somebody named "Rich Mantooth," comedian Fred Armisen and a Vanishing Point-style 1970 Dodge Challenger (knowing Jay, it probably is the Vanishing Point Challenger). Just after making fun of Fred for taking subways, Jay bangs up his Dodge and hi-jinks ensue! But for reals, if this is a taste of what Leno's new show has to offer, we'll probably be checking it out. Full trailer after the jump. And thanks for the tip, Andrew!

I disagree, I found it unoriginal and boring.

That FRIEND is designer Jason Castriota, who recently designed the Bertone Mantide.

Calling the Mantide "designer" a designer is an INSULT to any good designers!!!
Frank 2:24PM (8/19/2009)
Besides the stunning Mantide, Jason is also responsible for the Ferrari P4/5, Maserati Gran Turismo, Rolls-Royce Hyperion, Maserati Birdcage, and Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano as well. His reputation as a top designer speaks for itself.

The Mantide & the Ferrari P4/5 you mention are stunning....
... stunningly BAD!!! Nice to know Jason's PR guy read AB.

"Unknown" also conveniently drops Ken Okuyama's name from the cars he credits Jason for. A designer can sketch/ create until he/she is blue in the face... but if the design direction is not championed by the lead designer... it goes NOWHERE.
Jason worked under Ken @ Pininfarina. Those cars show Ken's influence... the ManTurd show Jason let loose on his own... I'll hire Ken & his group over Jason (any F-ing day)!!!

I think I saw this in the theater before a movie I saw recently. A change from Leno's usual stuff, but worth a watch. I wish luck to Leno!
And ask for him to adopt me, too. Please? I won't even need a bedroom, just a small corner in your garage will suit me just fine.

I hope that by the time I'm Leno's age I can rock white hair that hard. And own at least one of the vehicles he's owned.
