VIDEO: Rolls Royce Ghost promo vid lands online

The Rolls-Royce Ghost aims to be the next great super lux, competing with storied marques like Bentley and Aston by offering both a sumptuous cabin and engaging driving dynamics. In pictures, the Ghost looks small by Rolls standards, yet it's seven inches larger than the BMW 7-Series, and with a 6.6-liter, twin-turbo V12 rated at 563 hp and 575 lb-ft, the Ghost can shuffle you to 60 in a scant 4.7 seconds.
Rolls-Royce has released a promotional video (stashed after the jump) starring the great Ghost, and although it's a shameless love-letter penned by the Roller's engineer, the silky smooth Ghost looks as good in motion as it does in pictures, and anti-roll stabilization sounds way cooler with a British accent.

Look, it has 4-doors and a trunk. Must be a Camry-derivative.
(Note sarcasm)

Isn't the big, grand Bentley being unveiled at Pebble Beach later this week. That's the car I'm waiting for.

Agreed, can't wait to see the new Grand Bentley.
But I do appreciate the Ghost for what BMW has done technologically. They did a great job of creating an ultraluxury vehicle using a "regular" luxury platform (7-series). And the Ghost doesn't remind you of a 7-series in any way.
Hopefully Mercedes-Benz has been taking a lot of notes. Their next-gen Maybach collect should look vastly different from their "run-of-the-mill" S-classe lineup.

I love this car.
I can't wait to pick one up in a couple of years after the depreciation has taken its toll.
I like that it is not bloated and oversized like the Phantom.

looks nice, but for the money, I'll just get a slightly used phantom.

Rolls-Royce is the only brand I could never see myself own because I feel like I either need to own a castle or run a empire to drive a Rolls lol...

You don't drive a Rolls...it drives you. Or the man in the front seat does.
Level 2:29PM (8/12/2009)
Yes you're right but Rolls is trying to change that with the Ghost that's based on the 7 series & the Phantom Drophead convertible...

How does a 28 year old end up as a product manager with Rolls Royce? I'm freaking jealous.

My neighbor is an NBA player and he already has his ordered, so I would say lots.
Luis 2:40PM (8/12/2009)
What do you do Venom and how can I get in on it?
Venom 2:49PM (8/12/2009)
Luis,
I own liquor stores.
It is pretty easy to get into, just contact your local business broker have him find you a store to buy and have a good down payment (about 20%).
You also need to have a clean record, IRS, DUI, criminal etc and you are in business.
Good luck :)

Which NBA player is your neighber Venom?!

I find the price as a bit of a ripoff, because the alternative to this is the Flying Spur and its WAY cheaper. But I wouldn't by either if I'm honest, because gangstaz with backward hats and hos' ruined the reputation of these kind of cars.

Get real. Most people who drive these cars are professionals. Doctors, CEO's, ect...
Just because a handful of musicians buy them, doesn't mean that 99% of them on the road wont be just your average well-off Joe.
I think the new Ghost is beautiful. I would love to drive this.

At least it doesn't have the big round headlights with the horizontal ones above them...I always thought that made them look kinda like Milhouse or Groucho Marx...
Now they just have slit eyes...
