REPORT: GM Environment VP Beth Lowery leaving
Lowery has also been a strong proponent for GM's advanced technologies both in Washington and at events around the country. In addition to promoting the expanded use of biofuels Lowery has also worked to convince the country that GM is serious about developing and building the Volt, including by saying that it could even turn a profit one day.
No reason has been given for Lowery's departure, although she is just one of many executives to leave the company in recent months as it has gone through bankruptcy. See also: Larry Burns.
