Latest Forza 3 update highlights American Muscle

Turn 10 Studio's bi-weekly update on the new cars and tracks of the upcoming Forza 3 video game turned its attention to American Muscle today, offering a sneak peek of some of the current and classic American Iron that will be featured in the game. Not surprisingly, the latest round of muscle cars are on the 400+ car list including the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro and 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8. You'll also be able to pilot the king of the Nürburgring, the 2008 Dodge Viper ACR, around the legendary German track and see how close you can get to the record time of 7:22.1. As always, many of the classics will be available including the 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427, 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C and more.
Like the last update, which featured sedans and SUVs, Forza 3 also previewed some unconventional track vehicles like the 2008 Saleen S331 Supercab and the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10. Rather not take either of those on a road course? Well, you're in luck. The update also included news about a new track, Sedona Autopark Raceway – that's a drag strip. Gamers can set the distance of the strip anywhere from an eighth-mile to a full mile to test the acceleration capabilities of their digital rides.

The ZR1 is part of the limited collector's edition that you can preorder.

Yes, you have to buy the special (more expensive) edition from gamestop to get a ZR1. Hence I won't be getting a ZR1.

GT5? Lol. Not to say it won't be a great game, and possibly better than Forza 3, but as of now there is nothing about it that looks any better at all.
Besides, GT5 expected release date is still TBA so we can have fun with Forza until then.

I'm sure GT5 will be great. Last I heard, they'll be releasing it in November. Problem is, they haven't announced which year yet. :P

Ok, so GT5 will look slightly better (reflections and colour look more realistic). But, by the time it comes out FM will have released its 3rd version since GT4 came out, compared to a demo and half a game in the GT series ... I'm not sure it's worth such a long wait. Anyway, the whole discussion of which is best doesn't really matter, the more of these games the better, a bit of competition doesn't hurt :D

@JDM: Yes it looks good! I agree! But I honestly see nothing that would make you say your original comment. Forza III looks just as good, maybe better depending on your preference on certain qualities. And again, release is TBA. :)

I knew JDM Life was a bit biased towards cars from the land of the rising sun, but I didn't know his fanboyism applied to video games as well. Oh well, I suppose there will always be some people lost to these sort of things.

i'm definitely a forza guy, but the picture of that corvette they posted here isn't up to par with everything else i've seen about this game. these pictures look straight out of forza 2

GT5 may look slightly better than Forza 3. It may even play better. But what will determine the better game comes down to which one implements the better online features. Forza 2 had a decent start with the online career, albeit limited. If they can expand it and make it more engrossing, combined with Xbox's better friends list etc, it will most likely sell more copies than GT5, even if GT5 is technically a "better" game.

How the hell am i biased??? Now im biased because I love the game i've been playing since I was a kid? GT inspireded many racing games today and the GT series is only gonna get better.
GT is the Number 1 racing franschie. Forza is good but GT is a MOST have.

Ohh man... this game will be absolutely AWESOME, can't wait to get it.
No 2010 Mustang?? Haven't seen a single photo of it. But I saw the new Focus RS and the new Fiesta, colour me impressed.

I think Forza 3 will have the new Mustang. After all, Need for Speed Shift will have the 2010 GT500 AND Vaughn Gitten Jr.'s 2010 drift Mustang.
