Autoblog Podcast #139
As sure as the August heat is going to make that ice cream cone melt all over your hand, the Autoblog podcast keeps notching up new episodes. Chris, Sam, and Dan blocked out some time to sit in front of the microphones and chat about a few things, and thus we present to you Episode #139 of the Autoblog Podcast. Surprisingly positive sales figures start us off, and we stay on that category for a little while, mulling the Ford Focus's top status as a C4C purchase, and Camaro beating Mustang again in sales figures. Moving on to the truly sublime, we talk about the exotics at the MeadowBrook Concours before hitting on Fiat's MultiAir technology port and then wrapping with some of your questions. Thanks for all the response so far to our survey, and iTunes users can submit reviews of our work at the Autoblog Podcast iTunes page, too. We're always reachable at Podcast at Autoblog Dot Com, too. See you next week!

I've been waiting two weeks for you guys to discus the 458 Italia! When's it gonna happen? You sorta of teased it this week, but that's it.

bah, it's a midengined Ferrari - otherwise known as an atomic doorstop. It's a wedge, this time around with interesting surfacing, a fantastic flat-plane V8, and no, I won't be lent one to drive ...

Ba humbug... the Viper, ancient by podcast standards, is *so* much more interesting. ;)
Stay groovy, man.

Hey - I'm sure I'd have the same kind of permanent grin on my face driving an Italia as I do driving the Viper, but really, looking at the Italia - who cares?
We'll dig into it next week, and yes, I'm mostly kidding

Lucas... we talked about the 458 so much internally that we accidentally thought it to be done to death without considering our faithful listeners. We'll make sure to talk about it at length in podcast 140. Fair warning though... Dan doesn't really like mid-engine Ferraris for some reason, so the conversation may make him grumpy.

If Dan's not ornery, it's not a good 'cast. Bring on the Italia thoughts.

Hey Thanks guys for answering my question!
I think the Magnum is for me, the HHR SS just feels a little to small in the driver seat. Now if I could only find one with out some stupid wheels on it.
Thanks,
Adam
P.S. I work for a food broker, so it's just boxes of frozen food

Boxes of frozen ribeyes for our troubles?

Get a Z3 M Coupe, throw some boxes of Jalapeno poppers in the back, and drive 'em on over before they thaw!
Dan Roth 12:25AM (8/06/2009)
Mmm, poppers, so tasty, and so unnatural. Cheez-whiz filled deep fried peppers, what else is there to live for?

well we do rep for Tyson, so how about some hot wings? :)

Who wants 700 hp in a Camaro? I do!
Good cast guys...

I downloaded Ferrari 458 Italia ringtones for my iPhone from Ferrari's site. I have NEVER used a weird ringtone, however, it is a beautiful sound.
